  • 🥬#Vegan Made Easy with Joy and Meal! For Qwello's year-end celebration, the team of 10 opted for something fun, interactive, and delicious - a fully vegan cooking class led by Chef Wendy. Qwello is a Munich-based forward-thinking #startup specializing in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Europe. They are on a mission to make urban mobility cleaner, smarter, and more accessible, supporting a sustainable future. Set in JAM’s casual, no-frills cooking studio, the 4-h session featured a specially curated 3-course vegan menu. Chef Wendy welcomed the team with a festive Christmas Wreath Salad, swapping traditional mozzarella for handcrafted tofu balls, paired with creamy hummus and crispy bruschetta to kick things off. The participants rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on, learning to: 1. Shape and fold vegan gyoza: starting with preparing a flavorful filling, carefully folding the dumplings, pan-frying them to golden perfection, and creating a savory dipping sauce. 2. Craft a hearty vegan #ramen: chopping & cooking ingredients as the toppings, simmering a plant-based broth, and experimenting with various condiments to create a delicious base sauce. They finished by plating their ramen bowls like pros before diving in for a well-earned slurp! 3. Enjoy a refreshing dessert: the class wrapped up on a sweet note with Chilled Chia Pudding, topped with caramelized coconut sugar and fresh mango. The team not only learned new culinary skills but also discovered how achievable and satisfying a vegan menu can be.     🍪 How do you run a cookies' baking workshop for 65 people?🍪 One cookie at a time, of course! 🙌 🎅 CGM's Christmas Celebration: Baking Joy Together! 🎅 This year, the CGM team in Munich celebrated the holiday spirit with a delicious twist – an in-office Christmas cookies' workshop with Joy and Meal and chefs Akofa and Aysha 🎉 CompuGroup Medical (CGM) is a leading global provider of e-health solutions, operating in 19 countries and offering software and services designed to support medical and organizational activities in doctors' practices, pharmacies, medical laboratories, and hospitals. To start the evening with the greatest mood, Chef Aysha ensured everyone was well-nourished with two soul-soothing gluten-free soups. She prepared freshly from scratch in the company's big kitchen these two wonders: 🌱Thai-Chicken-Lemongrass Soup 🎃 Creamy Pumpkin Soup Plus, there was a spicy surprise: fresh Nimkis, a crunchy, aromatic Indian snack! 😍 Meanwhile, Chef Akofa led the ultimate cookie-baking adventure! 🍪 Groups of merry bakers created 4 types of cookies from scratch (and even got creative with decorations!).   • We couldn’t contain our excitement when the prestigious #WorldBank booked a #teambonding session with us as part of their #teamretreat in Munich! A big, big thank you for your trust! 🙏 For those unfamiliar, The World Bank is a global institution based in Washington D.C. dedicated to reducing poverty and supporting sustainable development around the world—an inspiring mission that resonates with people from every corner of the globe. Our dynamic team of three was ready to host their 25 international enthusiastic participants, with Chef Álvaro leading the three-course cooking session with his signature charisma, Wendy Leow-Knorr as lead event manager, and Rowain as an invaluable assistant, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. The energy in the room was electric right from the start! The evening kicked off with a light and elegant welcome salad topped with pumpkin purée and Gorgonzola-stuffed cannelloni. With a set up with smaller stations to maximize hands-on engagement, here’s what was on the fully #vegetarian menu, which was aligned with the high diversity in eating preferences and requirements of the group: Starter: Arancini Siciliani. Participants dove into shaping these beloved Italian stuffed rice balls. Under chef Álvaro’s guidance, they fried them to golden perfection, mastering both technique and taste. Main Course: Italian Stuffed Crespelle took center stage. The chef demonstrated a few variations with different fillings, and the group’s energy soared as some brave participants tested their flipping skills. The stakes were high—could they match Alvaro’s flawless flip? Dessert: The creamiest Vegan Avocado Mousse. The dessert station buzzed with activity as one group puréed creamy avocados, while another melted chocolate over a bain-marie. When the ingredients finally came together, the result was a smooth, decadent mousse that had everyone swooning. Over the course of four hours, the space was filled with joy, #teamwork, and endless #laughter. It was inspiring to connect with Europe’s leading startups, all driven to advance sustainability. 🌱 The New European Bauhaus (NEB) is an ambitious EU-backed initiative inviting Europeans to help shape a future rooted in sustainability, inclusivity, and aesthetics. EIT Climate-KIC, EIT Food, EIT Manufacturing, and EIT Urban Mobility, led EIT Community NEB, championing projects that bring the values of NEB to life on the ground. Our commitment at Joy and Meal aligns with the EU’s Green Deal vision for a more sustainable future, and being part of the NEB Catalyse program has been invaluable.     Imagine the scene: sixteen participants arriving in a caravan of three Swiss-registered cars, all pulling up to our cooking studio with great vibes! A huge shoutout goes to Roche Diagnostics for their commitment to sustainability! They have chosen to host their cooking class with Joy and Meal, led by Chef Wendy in a space thoughtfully integrated within a City of Munich public school. This initiative allows us to breathe new life into underutilized areas right in the heart of the city, aligning our culinary gatherings with Munich’s sustainable urban goals. Roche Diagnostics is a global leader in #healthcare innovation, specialising in diagnostic solutions that empower individuals, healthcare providers, and organisations to make more informed health decisions. With a commitment to sustainability and advanced technology, they provide cutting-edge tools for disease detection, monitoring, and management, helping to shape the future of personalized healthcare. Known for its high standards in quality and scientific rigor, the company plays a vital role in transforming healthcare practices and improving patient outcomes worldwide. Our kitchen studio setup may be no-frills and casual, but that only added to the warmth and enthusiasm of this lively group! After a round of welcome snacks for the participants who came from Basel, Penzberg & Munich offices, everyone rolled up their sleeves and got right to work. Together, they crafted both meat and vegetarian fillings for pan fried dumplings, competing to shape the most artful, picture-perfect dumplings as if they have been doing it for years. Next up, the team dove into a steaming hot vegetarian ramen, experimenting with flavors, ingredients, and learning the art of marinated eggs. We capped off the session with a refreshing mango chia pudding, sending everyone off with full hearts, full stomachs, and new culinary skills.     🌎✨ Team bonding through flavors and sustainable spaces!✨ Last week, Daiichi Sankyo brought teamwork to the kitchen with a unique culinary event organized by Joy and Meal. Daiichi Sankyo is a global pharmaceutical company with its headquarters in Japan, that provides innovative products and services in 29 countries around the globe. And guided by the talented Chef Álvaro from Colombia and with the assistance of Rowain, this international team explored authentic Colombian & Fusion cuisine, blending creativity, collaboration, and a delicious taste of culture. 🍽️ The evening’s mouthwatering, diverse menu featured: **Chef Álvaro's surprise starter, showcasing the most #autumn ingredient: pumpkin! 🎃 **Veggie Mushroom Ceviche with smashed sweet potatoes – a fresh, vegan, gluten-free starter. **Arepas Colombianas with three types of corn flour (including one sweet), accompanied by delicious fillings and toppings: stracchino cheese, salsiccia, chicken, avocado, and pico de gallo. Whether vegetarian, vegan or meat-eater, there was something for everyone! **A vegan avocado mousse, for a vibrant, plant-based dessert. Not only the menu, but also the venue was a highlight! Following our commitment to sustainability, we’re excited to partner with the City of Munich to utilize existing spaces in the city for our cooking experiences #Zwischennutzung. In this dynamic cooking space in Munich, with several workstations and a refreshingly unique setting for team-building events, this diverse and fun team worked hard and also enjoyed their own creations, and alsohad the opportunity to take home some leftovers and even ingredients, to replicate the newly learned recipes straight away! Thank you Daiichi Sankyo team for an evening where every bite celebrated diversity, creativity, and a sustainable approach to urban spaces.     What’s the best way to break the ice? A team cooking event, of course! A newly on-boarded Head of Department, who recently moved from the UK to Munich, had a brilliant idea to bring everyone together outside the office for a hands-on cooking session with chef Wendy few weeks ago. The evening kicked off with welcome snacks, and soon the action began! Twelve team members from Allianz Investor Relations rolled up their sleeves, filling the space with mouth-watering aromas as they pounded, smashed, chopped lemongrass and aromatics, marinated chicken and prepared veggie fillings for dumplings. The highlight? Perfecting dumpling-folding techniques before pan-frying them to golden perfection. The heat was on as we moved to the main course, a very aromatic Vietnamese #lemongrass chicken with rice. Followed by a refreshing chia seed pudding topped with coconut sugar and mango for dessert. The night was filled with #laughter#learning, and #bonding - a truly unforgettable experience that strengthened #connections through food. P.S.
