I had the pleasure of leading a webinar hosted by the #IB Exchange yesterday —and what an experience it was! With over 1,000 attendees, the audience was nothing short of amazing—receptive, encouraging, and deeply engaged. It’s truly a joy to connect with educators who are passionate about fostering growth and learning, not just for their students but for themselves as well. These moments of shared curiosity and collaboration remind me why I love the work we do. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making it such a meaningful session. Here’s to more opportunities to learn and grow together! 💡🌍

We’re thrilled to be working alongside Michael Dunn and the team at theoryofknowledge.net! Their commitment to fostering critical thinking aligns perfectly with Kialo’s mission, and we’re excited to see our platform being used to structure meaningful debates in mini-lessons such as this one. Check out their free, TOK-aligned resource at the link below ⬇️

Founder of theoryofknowledge.net, the world's most innovative online resource centre for TOK, and home of authentic critical thinking.

Here's a perfect Friday activity for your students: a mini-lesson exploring Meta's decision to remove fact checking from their platforms https://lnkd.in/e5-VTu_g It's designed for either a TOK specialist, teachers of digital society and politics, or anyone exploring free speech with their learners. Use the mini-lesson as a way of exploring the specific problem of expressing and understanding political ideas in an objective way, how tech companies are increasingly acting as the gatekeepers of knowledge, and wider issues of free speech in society. The new format of the resource offers much more support for both TOK and non-TOK teachers, with all relevant key concepts fully explained (Responsibility, Power, Truth, Values), clear links made to both DP subjects and the TOK course, and an examination of how the story can be used to help with the exhibition and essay. On the final slide you'll also see a launchpad to achieve bigger educational goals, such as promoting equality, diversity, inclusion, and wellness, enhancing university applications, and linking learning to wider issues and influential thinkers. Finally, we're working alongside Kialo now, and making use of their excellent platform to structure debates. See a link to a relevant Kialo topic on the final slide. We want everyone teaching TOK and promoting authentic critical thinking, and our mini-lessons are the key way we do this. Members of the site receive 20 of these mini-lessons every month, that they can share with their whole faculty, and get everyone thinking beyond the headlines! Get in touch with me for more details on how to join, or check out the theoryofknowledge.net site. #TheoryOfKnowledge #TOKMiniLessons #AuthenticCriticalThinking
