This week’s "Who’s This Klanger?" spotlight is on Ola Chwilczynska, one of our talented Producers! 👏 🎨 How did you find your way to Klang? I was in the process of moving from Australia back to Poland (where I am originally from) and I saw an ad for the position at Klang. I was immediately drawn to Klang, mainly because it looked really creative and interesting. I was also drawn to the community aspect of SEED. Once I applied I realized that I really liked the people as well. 🎨 What is your favorite part of working as a Producer? I love being able to connect people and engage with various aspects of the project. While I primarily work with the Art Team, I also collaborate with the Feature Teams, Publishing Team, Tech Team, and others. In Producing, my role isn’t to do the work myself but to facilitate the efforts of others, which I really enjoy. 🎨 What excites you most about SEED? I’m particularly drawn to the community-building aspect of SEED because I see its potential not only to connect people but also to empower them to create communities and environments on their own terms. It fosters collaboration towards something truly unique, blending a sense of community with a structure that resembles governance, though it doesn’t have to be defined that way. This month we would like to Introduce JJ, our Lead Community Manager! We chatted with him about a lot, from his passion for SEED 💻 to his love of music 🎶 . 🎸 How did you find your way to Klang? Well, I moved to Berlin three and a half years ago for a position at a marketing agency working in gaming and Esports. It was a great experience but at some point, I decided to look for something fresh and new. I was also interested in focusing on one brand instead of managing several different ones. 🎸 What is your favorite part of working as a Lead Community Manager? I would say I have several favorite parts rather than just one specific one, but I particularly enjoy working with imaginative people who enjoy brainstorming and generating great ideas. I find it fulfilling to use creativity to develop content and ideas that resonate with the community. Another thing I love is working with diverse communities, getting to understand them, having fun with them, and actively being a part of them as well. 🎸 What excites you most about SEED? A lot of things excite me about SEED. I'm very intrigued by the political dynamics within the game, where community members actively engage in role-playing and immerse themselves in the lore. As a strategy game enthusiast, I find SEED's unique features especially cool. Additionally, the fact that there’s nothing quite like it on the market makes working on such an innovative project especially exciting. Let’s take a look at some of the open positions that we are excited to fill: 🎮 Design Director (Berlin) 🎮 Do you have lots of experience in creative leadership in the gaming industry? Have you been a Lead Game Designer? If so, then our Design Director role may be the perfect fit for you! As the leader of the Design team, you will translate the visionary essence of SEED into practical design strategies and oversee their successful implementation. This role puts you at the heart of game development, ensuring that all elements—from system mechanics to content and controls—work harmoniously to enhance player experiences. We are happy to announce that spring 🌸 is officially underway and summer ☀ is just around the corner in Berlin! This means that there is a lot going on in the city, from day parties 🕺 to long afternoons spent sipping beer 🍺 by the Spree. But if you’re still at a loss for something to do don’t worry! In this post, we take a look at four cool events taking place this June that you can dive into. ⚽ Futboll Championship (June 14 - July 14) For all of you football fans (we know you’re out there,) you will be happy to know that the European Football Championship (UEFA Euro 2024) will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. This marks the first time since 1988 that Germany is hosting the tournament. Matches will be held across ten cities, including Berlin. In fact, Berlin’s Olympiastadion will be one of the key venues for the tournament! 🎹 Fete de la musique (June 21) Fête de la Musique originated in France in 1982 and spread to Berlin in 1995, quickly becoming an important part of the city's cultural landscape. Celebrated annually on June 21st, this event transforms Berlin's streets, parks, and public spaces into open-air stages (thanks to a special permit granted on this day), showcasing a diverse range of musical genres and performances. 🧪 Long night of science (June 22) Do experiments and new scientific findings excite you? If so, then the Long Night of Science (or Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften) might be something you’d like to check out! On June 22nd, from 5 pm to midnight (which technically is not a very long night for Berlin standards,) universities, research institutions, and laboratories across Berlin will open their doors to the public. 🎨 48 Hours Neukölln (June 28-30) Where else would a grassroots-style non-hierarchical art festival exist if not in Berlin? Introducing: 48 Hours Neukölln (48 Stunden Neukölln in German,) an unconventional art festival. 48 Hours Neukölln adopts a decentralized, inclusive model that encourages participation from both seasoned professionals and newcomers in the art scene. The festival invites local artists, groups, and organizations to present performances, art events, and exhibitions. Additionally, some events are designed to be interactive, allowing visitors to engage and unleash their own creativity. To learn more about these events, check out our full blog post, linked in the comments below ⬇️

We take pride in our office 🏢, nestled right in the heart of Kreutzberg, Berlin 🌆. But it wouldn’t be anything if it wasn’t for our amazing office team! Norma, Alina, Mike, and Christian make up the backbone of our office, ensuring that it is a great environment and that everything runs smoothly. Let’s take a deeper look at what each of them does and why they enjoy working at Klang! 🌼 Norma Norma, who was born in Berlin (yes, real Berliners actually do exist,) is the Office Manager here at Klang. While she works very closely with Alina (our Office Coordinator,) Norma’s work revolves around large office projects, Klang events, and benefits. “I love that my role has a little of everything in it,” says Norma. “I’m never doing one task over and over, which keeps me on my toes!” 🌼 Alina As our Office Coordinator, Alina is in charge of all things office-related, from stocking the many delicious drinks we have to ensuring that the office atmosphere is on point (a very important thing indeed!) One of her favorite parts of working as an Office Coordinator is how social it is. “ I love that I’m not just sitting behind a computer typing all day,” Alina explains. “I’m grateful that it’s a part of my job to socialize and connect with everyone at the office.” 🌼 Mike Mike started working at Klang almost 5 years ago. At the time he was the sole member of the IT team and he built Klang’s IT system from the ground up! While he used to be responsible for everything tech-related, now he is our IT Manager and his job mainly involves larger IT projects. He says that his favorite part of his job is helping make other people’s lives better (which just happens to be the same reason that he produces electronic music.) 🌼 Chris Not only is Chris a super dad, but he is also our IT Administrator Assistant! To put it simply, his job is to keep everyone working. In reality, this is anything but simple and ranges from keeping our network running to replacing broken equipment to onboarding and offboarding Klangers. Chris says that his favorite part of his job is the fact that he gets to help so many Klangers. To learn more about these four Klangers, check out the full blog post, linked in the comments below ⬇️. #office #gaming #gamedev
