European #banks are gearing up for the integration of the 🇪🇺 📲 #EUDIWallet. Collaborating with leading players in the #financial sector, we’ve gathered key #insights into what this means for banking systems and processes: Banks operate highly customised systems to support their processes, adapted to the needs of their clients, regulatory requirements, and transactional operations. However, certain core functionalities are shared across all financial institutions: ✅ Identification for Know Your Customer #KYC processes ✅ Strong Customer Authentication #SCA for login and authorisation in line with #PSD2 ✅ Digital Signatures such as Qualified Electronic Signatures #QES ✅ Customer Onboarding for seamless account opening and registrations ✅ Payment Approvals for secure transaction confirmations By latest 2027, all of these systems – and more – will need to support integration with the EU Digital Identity Wallet. Forward-thinking banks are already taking steps to implement this technology, recognising the opportunity to streamline processes, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with upcoming regulations. Others are still waiting – at the risk of falling behind competitors, facing reputational challenges, and missing out on the potential for operational efficiencies. 🎉 The Innovation competition of the 🇩🇪 government for 🇪🇺 📲 digital identity wallets enters final round with #Lissi GmbH Berlin, 11.12.2024 - We have qualified for the final phase of the EUDI-Wallet prototype competition organised by the German Federal Agency for Leap Innovation (SPRIND - Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen). The competition promotes innovative solutions for the implementation of the European #eIDAS 2.0 regulation. “We are proud to have once again convinced the jury and to be part of such a prestigious programme. We would like to express our gratitude to the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community and SPRIND for the professional and transparent organisation of the competition and the public consultation process. The international attention for the German approach underlines its character as a role model in Europe”, says Helge Michael, co-founder and CEO of Lissi. Lissi specialises in the development of the EUDI-Wallet Connector, an application that enables organisations to interact seamlessly with the German EUDI-Wallet and all future certified wallets in Europe. The focus is on supporting regulated sectors such as banking, insurance and telecommunications as well as the public administration. The connector enables the issuance and verification of digital credentials, making it easier for organisations to comply with regulatory requirements and use digital wallets efficiently. The German Wallet, announced for 2025, will for the first time allow citizens to carry their ID card securely and digitally on a mobile device. Lissi is already enabling organisations to prepare for the connection and integration. "The participation of Samsung and Google in the challenge underlines the global strategic importance of our work," adds Helge Michael. With the EUDI-Wallet Connector, Lissi ensures that organisations are prepared for the requirements of the eIDAS 2.0 regulation and the megatrend of digital trust with identity wallets.

🎉 🎉 🎉 We made it to the final phase of the prestigious 🇩🇪 📲 #EUDIWallet prototype competition, organised by SPRIND. Here is what we did: We are incredibly proud to be part of this initiative, which is setting the course for the implementation of the European #eIDAS 2.0 regulation and the future of digital identity in #Europe. The participation of global leaders like Samsung and Google highlights the strategic importance of the EUDI-Wallet ecosystem on a global scale. Within the last months we ensured that our solutions support:  ➡️ The handling (issuance, presentation and verification) of credentials for all required credential types ➡️ Revocation via status list  ➡️ Batch issuance for advanced privacy protection ➡️ Extended issuer and verifier meta-data information (purpose, link to privacy-policy, TOS etc.) ➡️ Verification of issuers and relying parties  ➡️ Support of proximity presentations (phone to phone) based on the ISO standards ➡️ Overview of contacts including their interaction history ➡️ Display of credential images, attribute data and their localisation (translation) ➡️ Support of the German #PID (#eIDAS notified on LoA high) via official test infrastructure  ➡️ Backup function of credentials and interaction history in the wallet Our special innovation topic for this phase however is a credential discovery function, which enables a user to get requested credentials on demand during a presentation session without leaving the wallet! This solves countless UX issues in one approach leveraging the existing OpenID4VC standards. We’ve already received positive feedback from banks testing it for the bank-account opening use case as part of the Potential large scale pilot. We will continue enabling seamless interaction with the upcoming German EUDI-Wallet and future certified wallets across Europe. With our EUDI-Wallet Connector, we are helping organisations in regulated sectors such as banking, insurance, and public administration prepare for the era of digital trust and unlock the potential of identity wallets. Let's start the SPRIND - Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen ecosystem day showcasing the latest results of the EUDI-Wallet project. "How can Germany implement the European digital Identity wallet" is the core question addressed as part of the public consultation process. The SPRIND Agency incubates the ecosystem and provides a forum for stakeholders to exchange ideas, criticism and solutions. As part of the consultation process the "Funke" is an innovation competition in which international teams come up with EUDI Wallet solutions. The project is overseen by the 🇩🇪 Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community.

Today we meet in Berlin for the 🇩🇪 📲 #Wallet ecosystem day. The 8 remaining teams will present their latest wallet updates. Goal of the innovation competition is to gain practical experience with #EUDIWallet implementations, which are aligned with the technical and regulatory requirements of #eIDAS. Only four out of the eight remaining teams will be able to continue to the final round. Given that we directly compete with Google, Samsung and Yubico the bar couldn't be higher. We wish all the teams good luck. We hope that all of the teams will continue their developments, given that Germany opted to open the market for provider of EUDI-Wallets from the private market. National advancements: 🇩🇪 Germany outlined the value propositions for the stakeholders of the eIDAS 2.0 ecosystem, focusing on benefits for public and private sectors as well as end-users. 🇲🇹 Malta included a public tender for its EUDI-Wallet in its 2025 budget, positioning itself for early adoption within the EU ecosystem.
