Call for ZPE/CPE-Experts: Evaluation Specialists for GIZ Central Project Evaluations ("GIZ Zentrale Projektevaluierungen") Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for empirical social research and evaluation methodologies? We're on the lookout for experienced individuals to join our dynamic team for the evaluation team of GIZ! If you meet the qualifications outlined below, we are looking forward to receiving your CV.    Qualifications: Education/Training: University degree (master’s) Languages: Proficiency in English (C1) based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages General Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years in the application of methods in empirical social research. This should include expertise in both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods and data analysis. Additionally, the candidate should have a track record of conducting 20 evaluations using OECD-DAC criteria. Specific Professional Experience: Performance of 12 methodological quality-checks of evaluation reports or 3 meta-evaluations on evaluation quality. Conducted 4 evaluations with contribution analysis. Conducted 4 evaluations with efficiency analysis, utilizing a "follow the money" approach or a similar methodology. A minimum of 4 years of experience with GIZ instruments and projects. Conducted 3 GIZ Central Project Evaluations. 🌍🇬🇪 Two exciting weeks in Germany with the Partnering in Business with Germany group from Georgia! 🌍🇬🇪   Over the past two weeks, our Georgian participants experienced an inspiring journey packed with insights, innovation, and networking opportunities. 🎉 During the first week, the participants were introduced to a variety of engaging and impactful activities to provide valuable insights and foster professional growth. 👉 The program began with a warm welcome event, moderated by Dr. Kristian Kampfer and Maximilian Thomsen, which set the tone for a fruitful exchange. 👉 The Greener Manufacturing Conference & Expo provided our attendees with valuable insights into sustainable manufacturing processes. 👉 Company visits to DHL Freight and neuland.ai highlighted exemplary company culture and cutting-edge AI solutions, leaving a lasting impression. 👉 The first week concluded with a training session on Negotiating with German Business Partners led by Sonja Petersen.     Building on this foundation, the second week provided further opportunities for enriching company visits and another training session. 👉 The participants attended a comprehensive Agile Leadership training led by Dr. Kristian Kampfer and Dr. Lina Rebecca Arnold, where they explored and reflected on diverse leadership styles as well as diversity and inclusion. 👉 They gained valuable knowledge about digital transformation and sustainable practices during their visit to the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Ländliche Regionen in Siegen. 👉 They witnessed automation excellence at Rittal GmbH & Co. KG. 👉 And they discovered how process optimization drives small-scale innovations at Karl Schumacher Maschinenbau GmbH and Alurit GmbH.   The program concluded with a heartfelt goodbye event, attended by Tobias Knubben from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH, celebrating new connections and future opportunities. 🎉   🇬🇪🤝🇩🇪 This initiative brought Georgia and Germany closer, bridging business cultures and fostering partnerships.   ✨ We sincerely thank the companies who participated in the program for their time, effort, and openness, which greatly enriched the experience for everyone involved.   Partnering in Business with Germany is an instrument to promote foreign trade and investment by Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz.   The Manager Training Programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) is an instrument of German foreign trade promotion. Empowering Teams for Impact: Support to PIDA Team & M&E Workshop in South Africa   🌟 We just wrapped up a fantastic three-day Team & M&E Workshop for the Green Infrastructure Corridors for intra-African Trade (Support to PIDA) project, led by Dr. Kristian Kampfer and Dr. Lina Rebecca Arnold from Madiba Group - MEL | Consulting | Training on behalf of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ). The workshop was set in a beautiful resort with 11 dedicated GIZ participants from different countries! 🌍   This project aims at supporting the development of efficient green infrastructure and regional integration in Africa by enhancing planning, coordination, and implementation of large-scale cross-border projects. 🏗️🌉🛤️🛣️🌿   Over these three days, we dove deep into crucial topics for project success, especially: 🗺️ Stakeholder Mapping 🌈 Theory of Change 📅 Activity Planning for the next months and years 📊 Data Collection & Monitoring 📈 Management Meeting 📜 Success Stories & Storyline Writing 🛠️ Operational Planning 🤝 Cooperation & Leadership ⚧️ Gender Mainstreaming   Using dynamic formats like group work, plenary discussions, peer-to-peer Counselling, a learning café, a line-up exercise, and funny energizers like Chair Hip-Hop 🪑 and the Craziest Job Lottery 🎲, we kept the energy high and learning impactful! ⚡   The active participation of all attendees led to vibrant, constructive, and fruitful discussions, culminating in the creation of a Future Board to guide the project’s next phase over the coming four years. 🎯   After intense sessions, we bonded over social activities and shared laughter during fun team-building exercises like the human knot 🤪, country quiz 🌎, and dancing 🎶. 🌟Exciting News: Launch of the Program Evaluation for the Chamber and Association Partnership Program! 🌟   Madiba is thrilled to announce that we’ve been commissioned to conduct the evaluation of the Chamber and Association Partnership Program by the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK). This program, part of the Partners in Transformation – Business & Development Network under the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), is a key initiative driving sustainable economic growth worldwide. 🌍   Through this program, DSIK and the Sparkassen Finance Group bring valuable knowledge and expertise to partner countries, promoting financial inclusion, socio-ecological transformation, and responsible entrepreneurship. By partnering with chambers, associations, trade unions, and financial institutions, they support private sector development with organizational consulting and training to boost financial inclusion and economic resilience. 💼🌱   Our evaluation will cover seven projects across Southeast Asia, the Caucasus, and Latin America, with a focus on empowering women in business, expanding financing for smallest, small, and medium enterprises (SSMEs), and enhancing financial inclusion. We aim to assess the program’s effectiveness, offer recommendations for enhanced implementation, and support strategic adjustments. Spooky Vibes and Waffle Delights: Madiba Team Halloween Celebration! 🎃👻    This Halloween, the Madiba team took a break from the usual to celebrate with some spooky fun! Several team members came dressed in creative costumes, adding a festive spirit to the office. 🎩🧛♀️ And the best treat of all? Fabian Andre Krämer baked delicious, fresh waffles with cheese, cream cheese, tomatoes and pesto for everyone! 🧇😋    During our lunch break, we gathered for a special session of spooky music, eerie storytelling and Black Stories mysteries with a Cologne twist. It was the perfect mix of laughs, suspense, and a little shiver down the spine. 🕸️📖    At the same time, we had to say goodbye to Fabian Andre Krämer, our intern in the executive office for the last 3 months. The Madiba team came together for a heartwarming cause at our flea market stand at the Haus der Springmaus e.V. in Endenich. 🌍💪 We sold a variety of pre-loved items generously donated by our staff and treated visitors to delicious cakes and muffins, all baked with love. 🍰🧁 The best part? 🌟 Empowering Women Workshop for Madiba Women🌟   Lately, we had an inspiring Empowering Women Workshop for Madiba female employees, led by Dr. Lina Rebecca Arnold Arnold! 🙌 The focus was on gender-specific (verbal and non-verbal) communication styles, especially techniques to assert oneself and become more visible in the workplace. 🗣️💪   The focus was on clearly distinguishing between useful and less effective practices, where possible, and identifying concrete next steps and development goals for each participant, which they would like to work on for their personal growth, especially in the field of communication. 🚀🌱   The workshop combined group work, theoretical insights from Lina, and lively discussions, followed by reflections in the plenary. 📢 Exciting News: New Project on Strengthening Governance and Civil Society in Uganda 🇺🇬   We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the contract for the central project evaluation of the project "Strengthening Governance and Civil Society in Uganda" for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH. This project evaluation reflects our ongoing dedication to supporting good governance, accountability, and human rights in Uganda and worldwide.   🌍 Project Focus: The mid-term evaluation will assess efforts aimed at addressing governance challenges in Uganda, where weak accountability systems, high levels of corruption, and limited resources have hindered development. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of state and non-state actors to fulfill their roles in promoting human rights, good governance, and accountability. 🏆 Key components of the project are: Strengthening Accountability: Supporting institutions like the Office of the Auditor General to improve accountability, fight corruption, and ensure the effective use of public funds. Improving Human Rights: Promoting a human rights-based approach to policymaking, emphasizing participation, accountability, equality, and legality.
