Yesterday, #TeamNordex colleagues from the UK & Ireland welcomed valued customers and guests to an exciting double event: as well as the day marking a relaunch of the region’s Product Days, the event was also a “housewarming” celebration and official opening of the UKIE’s new Head Office, located in Manchester, UK. Around 50 attendees enjoyed a packed day of valuable networking, real-time question and answer sessions and, of course, plenty of detailed technical information on the best products suited to the local landscape. In the evening, guests joined together with Nordex colleagues to enjoy some excellent Spanish food and German beer – a winning combination. Of the event, Director Sales for the UK and Ireland, Danny Hasledine commented: “It was fantastic to welcome so many of our customers to our Product Day and new office. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to discuss our products and collaboration over the future of onshore wind within the UK and Ireland to help drive forward the green energy transition, whilst still meeting the challenges of this growing market.” Nordex has been present in the region since 2002, and with the election of the Labour government earlier this year signalling the end to a previous ban on onshore wind development in England, the market is expected to see significant advancement over the coming years. Exciting news! The Nordex Group has once again been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal for the fourth year in a row. This year, #TeamNordex achieved a score of 74 out of 100 points, placing us in the top 3% of Manufacture of general machinery companies and in the top 5% of all companies assessed. We are proud to have maintained our very good score of 90 points for our proactive approaches to environmental sustainability and to have increased our score in the area of labour and human rights, from 70 to 80 points. #TeamNordexArgentina had a fantastic time participating in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Buenos Aires! Our colleagues demonstrated great team spirit as they took on the 5.6-kilometer running race, with the event providing an excellent opportunity for team building outside the workplace. After the race, our colleagues relaxed together with some well-earned refreshments, enjoying delicious food, and taking in the live entertainment in the picnic areas. In addition to the fun, the event also supported a meaningful cause. J.P. Morgan partnered with Casa Cuna, a nonprofit organisation that addresses healthcare needs and provides comprehensive support for the activities of Hospital General de Niños Pedro de Elizald, as well as social assistance to patients and their families. The Nordex Group is deeply saddened by the devastating loss of life and destruction caused by the recent flash floods in southeastern Spain. The news that more than 200 people have lost their lives, with countless more still missing, is truly heartbreaking. We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the unwavering dedication and bravery of the rescue teams and volunteers who are working tirelessly to find the missing. Our thoughts are with our Team Nordex colleagues in Spain and their families, with our local business partners, and all those affected by this tragedy.

A strong focus on Health and Safety has always been a top priority of the Nordex Group, and this week marks 6 months since we launched the #SafetyTogether campaign. As we further improve our safety culture, it is important for all of us to remain mindful of best practices and behaviors when it comes to keeping ourselves and others safe in the workplace. For that reason, our #TeamNordex HSE specialists identified and analyzed the main risks and previous incidents across all our activities and used this to develop 10 Life Saving Rules. These 10 Life Saving Rules underline our commitment to safety and, more importantly, act as a safeguard for our employees and subcontractors moving forward. Each rule addresses a specific topic as part of a defined minimum acceptable HSE standard which must not be broken. This is the key message that the 10 Life Saving Rules aim to firmly reinforce within our Nordex Group safety culture and all our mindsets. These rules are fundamental to the safety of everyone working as part of and alongside our company, and it is our duty to uphold them in everything we do here at the Nordex Group. #SafetyTogether #SafetyFirst #LSR #TeamNordex 

Great news from Türkiye: The Ministry of Energy recently announced the goal of quadrupling the expansion of wind and solar energy to 120,000 MW by 2035. The background to this is the rapid increase in electricity consumption in the past and the expected further increase over the coming years, as fossil fuels are replaced by electricity. The Nordex Group has been the market leader in the country since 2017 with over 31% of the market share. So, of course, our local #TeamNordex colleagues will participate in the 13th Turkish Wind Energy Congress TWEC, organized by the Turkish Wind Energy Association Türkiye Rüzgar Enerjisi Birliği (TÜREB), to be held on 5 - 6 November 2024, in Istanbul. “The future of renewable energy in the Balkans and beyond is full of opportunities, with the EU setting ambitious targets and regulatory frameworks driving the green transition. The Nordex Group is well-positioned to support this development with its nearly 40 years of experience in global wind markets and our commitment to safety and advanced technology,” said Jose Luis Blanco, CEO of the Nordex Group in his opening speech during the Nordex Business Day Balkans on 24 October in Belgrade, Serbia. One of the main topics discussed was the Nordex Group's ability to support renewable energy growth in the region through our local teams. José Luis highlighted Nordex' global business as market leader in the EMEA region in terms of order intake last year, and the installed capacity of around 50 GW worldwide. Regional team representatives presented the organizational structure and local service points. Commitment to safety was also a highlighted topic, and Alexandre Rodriguez, the Chief Information Security Officer of the Nordex Group, presented the company’s current solutions and future plans. The latest and most efficient versions of the Delta4000 series - the N163/6.X and N175/6X - were the focus of the product session, which also addressed the crucial topic of energy security. And last but not least, the culmination of the event’s fruitful agenda was a round table discussion involving financial experts from Nordex, banks, and financial partners exploring the value that Nordex can offer, before the evening program began. Nordex Group began to explore Balkan market back in 2017.
