Project Update✨ Q ENERGY is constructing a 10.8 MWp solar plant in the Italian region of Calabria. The PV plant will be equipped with about 20,000 ground-mounted solar modules. This project will provide green electricity to over 7,200 households, reducing carbon emissions by 6,200 tons annually. This 10-hectare site, once home to a chemical company, sat unused for decades. Now, it's transforming into a green energy plant thanks to its prime location—just 1 km from the nearest substation. Single-axis trackers will be used to maximize energy yield by following the sun throughout the day. Project Update✨ Our first energy storage project is up and running! ⚡🔋 We had the pleasure of inaugurating the Merbette battery storage plant on the Émile Huchet site in Saint-Avold, France, together with our partner GazelEnergie. “This plant is fully in line with a development model that we strongly advocate: the installation of large-scale storage power plants on industrial sites. The type of conversion initiated by GazelEnergie at the Émile Huchet plant perfectly embodies our vision of an energy transition that is both efficient and respectful of the environment”, says our Development Director for France, Corentin Sivy, in our press release, which you can read here 👉 https://buff.ly/3ZwN60p With a capacity of 35 MW and a storage capacity of 44 MWh, the Merbette power station will provide services to the electricity grid via RTE (the French electricity transmission system operator).
