The Mumbles Coastal Protection Project in Swansea Bay, Wales, sets new standards in sustainable coastal development, combining flood protection with the promotion of marine biodiversity! Our contribution at RECKLI: We developed special formliners that create concrete panels with complex surface textures. These structures provide an ideal habitat for marine organisms while contributing to coastal stability. ✔️ Increased biodiversity by fostering marine life ✔️ Sustainable protection against rising sea levels and erosion ✔️ Innovative design through collaboration between science and engineering The result? Rückblick auf die FTW Connect 1.0 Am vergangenen Mittwoch waren unsere Kollegen Sebastian Kaemmler und Tim Bienert bei Peter Gross Bau, einem führenden Fertigteilhersteller im Saarland, zu Gast. Im Rahmen der beeindruckenden Veranstaltung „FTW Connect 1.0“ hat Tim Bienert einen spannenden Vortrag mit dem Titel „Design.Your.Concrete“ gehalten. Der Fokus lag dabei auf der kreativen Gestaltung von Sichtbeton mit unseren Strukturmatrizen. Die Veranstaltung war ein voller Erfolg: Rund 500 Gäste, darunter zahlreiche Architekt*innen, waren vor Ort. Ein besonderes Highlight waren die beeindruckenden Großmuster (3,00 x 2,50 m), die mit unseren Matrizen gefertigt wurden. Sie zeigten eindrucksvoll, wie vielseitig und ästhetisch Sichtbeton gestaltet werden kann. At RECKLI, we're honored to play a role in projects that truly make a difference. The new pediatric palliative care unit in Leverkusen is more than just a building—it's a haven designed to bring comfort and hope to children and their families during challenging times. 🏥💖   A standout feature of this facility is a concrete elephant, realized with our RECKLI Unique. This gentle giant isn't just a decorative element; it symbolizes strength, wisdom, and serenity, offering a comforting presence to all who visit.   To bring this vision to life, we crafted a bespoke Formliner that captured every intricate detail of the elephant and worked closely with Betonsteinwerk Peter Eschenauer. Their expertise in creating high-quality, durable concrete elements ensured that the elephant would be a true masterpiece. The relief measures an impressive 3 x 1.17 meters, making it a striking focal point of the space. 🐘   It's projects like this that make our work at RECKLI so special. Being able to contribute to a space that offers solace and support is both humbling and inspiring. As a manufacturer of concrete formliners, we at RECKLI work closely with precast concrete plants. One of our closest partners is GBJ Geithner Betonmanufaktur Joachimsthal GmbH. Over the years, we've realized exceptional projects together. Michael Bloch from Geithner Bau remarks, "The collaboration with RECKLI enables us to take precast concrete elements to a new level of design."🤝 A notable project is the Schönegarten building in Berlin, blending seamlessly into the cityscape with its diverse façade design realized with our Formliners 2/26 Elbe and 2/90 Travertin. 🏢 As Mr. Bloch states, "Projects such as the Schönegarten building in Berlin or the Oelsnitz Mining Museum show how diverse and inspiring architectural concrete can be." Another example is the secondary school on Wartiner Straße, where our 1/316 B Pennsilva Formliner provides contrast to the smooth upper façade with its ribbed, coarse structure. A highlight of our collaboration was the Bergbaumuseum Oelsnitz, where we created a photo engraving in the precast concrete elements of the curtain wall. As Mr. Bloch adds, "Whether it's precise textured formliners for sophisticated façades or innovative photo engravings—with RECKLI we can realize the visions of architects and planners down to the last detail." Looking ahead, Mr. Bloch says, "We look forward to many more joint projects that continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in concrete construction!" 🚀 As for future collaboration, one thing is certain: to be continued! With amazing food from Stolzenhoff Catering Company, a stunning vocal performance by Dòra Fàczàn, exciting activities like nail hammering and table football, and a lively dance floor thanks to our DJ, it was an unforgettable evening.
