During winter, social initiatives like the Kältebus (cold weather bus) and Kältehilfe (cold weather help) from our partner BERLINER STADTMISSION (Berlin City Mission) provide vital aid to Berlin’s homeless. However, recent budget cuts by the Berlin Senate and rising costs have created financial challenges for the NGO. We stand by our commitment to homeless people in the city and are pleased to be able to help with a donation of 50,000 euros. Last week, our Scouts Dr. Claudia Viehweger and Johanna Ebbing delivered this good news at a meeting with Christian Ceconi, the chairman of the organization. The Berlin City Mission has been one of our key partners in our social initiatives for several years. This year, with our support, they opened a laundry facility for homeless people. Our collaboration also extends to volunteering opportunities, as well as donations of clothing and other goods. 📣 Great news! Scout24 has been nominated for the Deutsche Bahn's Climate Mobility Challenge 2024. 🚅 The aim of the competition is to support companies and organisations in making their commitment to sustainable mobility more visible. In this respect, Scout24's mobility policy is a key component of our climate strategy. 🔶 Since summer 2021, our employees have to make all business trips within Germany by train if the journey can be made by train within 4.5 hours. 🔶 We have been continuously electrifying our company car fleet since summer 2021. In Germany, we now drive 100% electrically. In Austria, we will be fully electrified by the end of 2025. 🔶 In 2022, we also took a closer look at our employees' commutes and have been offering a mobility allowance of up to €25 for the Deutschlandticket or a company bike ever since. This year, the Berlin Social Academy celebrates its 12th anniversary, and we are very proud to have been part of this great initiative from the very beginning. At Scout24, personal development is the key to unlocking the true potential of every single individual. 🚀 Our #LearningDays are the perfect opportunitiy to learn from each other and get inspired by talks from experts. This year’s focus was on Interconnectivity and AI and what an inspring week it was!   Over 25 sessions were presented by internal and external speakers and the topics were very diverse, ranging from AI in customer care to prompt engineering to storytelling with data. There was something for everyone. And of course, one (culinary) highlight should not be missing: the yummy vegan Brammibal's Donuts.🍩 Huge thanks to the great People Team, the speakers and participants for making our Learning Days such a success!📚

What an impressive and impactful #AI Hack Week! This year, our focus areas are product innovation, internal productivity, and AI for accessibility. We could really enjoy the amazing pitches and explore the boundless potential of AI. In total, 15 brilliant ideas were brought to life and most of them came with business cases, showcasing the strong level of effort and creativity. What's next? We will be taking a closer look at these ideas, and some might even go into production in the coming weeks, contributing to ongoing projects. It’s a wrap! This year we have been involved again as #Oneteam in a wide variety of projects for our #SocialSummer ☀️ In the period from the beginning of June to the end of August 2024, we did a total of 761 hours of charitable work, 224 hours more than in the previous year, and thus far exceeded our goal of 500 hours. 🚀 The activities ranged from sorting food at the Berliner Tafel e.V., daily work in a children’s hospice to exchanging with refugees. 🤝 According to our Scouts, in addition to giving back to society, the social commitment has strengthened them above all in their personal development and the expansion of their own social skills.❤️ #WorkingAtScout24
