Info
SEGGER Microcontroller develops and distributes hardware and software development tools as well as software components for embedded systems. An "embedded system" is one in which a microprocessor and associated components are incorporated into a device helping to accomplish difficult and complex tasks in products such as cell phones, medical instruments, instrument clusters, measurement instruments, satellite radios, digital cameras etc. Founded in 1992, SEGGER is privately held, has been profitable since its inception and is growing steadily. Headquartered in Monheim, Germany, with distributors on all continents and a local office in Massachusetts, SEGGER offers its full range of products worldwide. SEGGER software products include: Embedded Studio (IDE), embOS (RTOS), emWin (GUI), emFile (File System), emUSB-Device (USB device stack), emUSB-Host (USB host stack) embOS/IP (TCP/IP stack), emLoad (Bootloader), emLib (Helper Libraries), emModbus (Modbus stack). To complete the offering, the whole aspect of IoT is covered by digital signature (emSecure), encryption (emSSL, emSSH) as well as secure data exchange (Dropbox client). With the experience in programming efficiently on embedded systems, SEGGER created highly integrated, cost-effective programming and development tools, such as the Flasher (stand-alone flash programmer) and the industry leading J-Link / J-Trace debug probe. SEGGER’s intention is to cut software development time for embedded applications by offering affordable, high quality, flexible and easy-to-use tools and software components allowing developers to focus on their applications.

Sometimes, users aren’t aware of all the great functions their tools have to offer. That's why we’re always working to highlight these features and make them more widely known. Today’s example is U-Flash, a powerful application for configuring and triggering the programming process in SEGGER’s Flasher production programmers. It prepares a Flasher for use in standalone mode or in conjunction with a host system. Key features of U-Flash include: ➡️ Batch programming: Handle multiple programming targets with different memory configurations in one seamless process. ➡️ Standalone mode: Program devices independently, without the need for a host PC. ➡️ Multi-device support: Access external memories and devices, with the ability to add support for new devices using the Flasher Device Support Kit (DSK). SEGGER’s J-Link debug probes and Flasher in-circuit programmers now fully support STMicroelectronics's Stellar P and G family of microcontrollers, which are specifically designed for the automotive industry. With multiple cores, Stellar devices enable developers to consolidate multiple electronic control units (ECUs) into one high-performance ECU using a single Stellar MCU. This approach simplifies system architecture while maintaining the ability to handle diverse automotive applications. "STMicroelectronics welcomes the addition of SEGGER’s J-Link and Flasher tools to our Stellar ecosystem. The ability to program and debug all cores with a single tool significantly simplifies the development workflow, which is essential for the complex needs of automotive applications." 💬 Davide Santo, Automotive MCU Director at STMicroelectronics ➡️ For more information, please visit: https://lnkd.in/eScxhfZF #JLink #Flasher #ST #EmbeddedSystems

SEGGER’s real-time software verification and visualization tool SystemView has been enhanced with multicore support, expanding its capabilities to systems with multiple CPU cores on a single chip. Using SEGGER Real-Time Transfer technology, a single J-Link debug probe can now collect data from multiple cores in real time. Data is streamed to the host and is analyzed and visualized instantaneously. All events are recorded and can be saved for analysis and documentation purposes. “SystemView is unique in the industry, and multicore support makes it even more so. We ask everyone who sees the potential here to simply give the tool a try. No product should hit the market without SystemView verification!” 💬 Johannes Lask, Product Manager for SystemView at SEGGER ➡️ For more information about this outstanding new feature and to try out SystemView, please visit: https://lnkd.in/efNbnTQF #SystemView #RealTimeAnalysis #EmbeddedSystems #Multicore
