⚡ With Vehicle-to-Grid (#V2G), electric vehicle batteries can send power back to the grid, enabling bidirectional energy flow. This allows for real-time adjustments to energy supply, helping to stabilize the grid and balance fluctuations in demand. V2G technology is set to play a major role in solving some of today’s biggest energy challenges, from supply shortages to the energy crisis and #RenewableEnergy volatility. 🌍 The benefits: ✅ Stabilizes the grid and reduces strain ✅ Supports meeting climate targets ✅ Delivers value to both businesses and end users Plus, #EV batteries can serve as mobile power plants and #EnergyStorage, enhancing grid flexibility.

What’s that over the hill? A game-changer for clean energy! ☀️🏔️ At Kronberg, Switzerland, a solar folding roof generates electricity while providing shade. When the weather shifts, it retracts automatically—ensuring efficiency and durability. Developed by dhp technology with sf elektro-engineering ag and our control technology, it offers a practical solution for #sustainable infrastructure. 🇨🇭 This innovative design makes the most of available space by integrating #SolarPanels into existing structures like parking lots and wastewater plants. By adapting to changing weather conditions, it remains efficient and long-lasting. It’s a step toward rethinking how infrastructure can support #CleanEnergy and a more sustainable future. 🌱 💚

With our planned Altair acquisition, we want to close a gap that we still had in our software portfolio: mechanical and electromagnetic simulation. I know, that sounds very abstract 😉 My colleague Carlos from Krefeld, Germany, helped us with an explanation on stage of our Annual Shareholders' Meeting – as Siemens in Krefeld is already using Altair’s software. With Altair, they can do things that weren’t yet covered by Siemens software. For example, ensuring that all the train’s components have the required stability. You know what it’s like when a train enters a tunnel or passes another train. You feel a pressure wave. The train has to withstand this force, day after day, for over 30 years. Millions of times. With the simulation, they can determine how stable the car body has to be without using excess materials. This is one example of how we at Siemens combine the real and the digital worlds. In the future, #TeamSiemens in Krefeld and our customers will be able to get everything from a single source – namely, from us. Regulatory approval is still pending. We already have the approval of Altair’s shareholders. We expect to close the acquisition in a couple of months. Exciting times ahead!
