Let's do it, STADA! Our colleagues in Turda actively participated in the National CleanUp Day, with 60 of them taking on the challenge of cleaning and sanitising the banks of the Aries River in the city. Together they helped to collect 400 bags of waste, once again demonstrating our commitment to the environment and the community. The initiative is organised by "Let's Do It! Romania" the local arm of the global movement "Let's Do It! World" which encourages citizens around the world to take action and clean up their local communities. This is the second year that our STADA team has enthusiastically agreed to take part in the local clean-up campaign. Dr. Google and Dr. AI still have no chance against general practitioners and pharmacists: Europeans tend to lay their trust in doctors (63 %) and pharmacists (54 %) when it comes to recommendations on OTC products. In contrast, only 16 % trust Google and another 12 % trust AI for such advice. While AI is generally considered positive, its use in personal healthcare makes the majority of Europeans uneasy. They are most concerned about misuse, e.g. someone having unauthorized access to their personal data (64 %). More than 1 in 2 also worry about: Loss of empathy in human interaction (59 %) Loss of human jobs (56 %) Data security (57 %) It appears that AI still needs to make significant improvements in the sensitive field of personal health to foster greater trust. On 9 November, we are privileged to be holding a scientific event for European healthcare professionals, aimed at sharing the latest updates in the field of nephrology. The Nephro Summit will be hosted by Professors Jonathan Barratt and Jürgen Floege, leading experts in the renal diseases discipline. Thumbs up for AI: 62 % of Europeans have a positive attitude towards artificial intelligence. 1 in 2 (47 %) understands it well and believes it is a positive technology for society and another 15 % are open to explore AIs' possibilities. It appears that gender and age have an influence on our assessment. Women are more hesitant to evaluate this technology positively (58%) than men (66%). Less surprisingly, fewer people assess AI positively as they get older: 71% of respondents aged between 18 and 24 have a positive attitude, compared with only 54% of those over 70.
