🚀 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿: Anna Schäfer Anna holds a degree in Nutrition and Food Science and brings valuable practical experience in the food ingredients industry to her new role. Her strong scientific background equips her to understand the role of micronutrients in addressing various health topics and therefore meet the needs of specific target groups effectively. As a Junior Product Manager, 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀, 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀. Meeting so many new and familiar faces from across the food industry was an absolute pleasure. Our team had countless engaging discussions with curious attendees interested in our products, as well as partners, customers and suppliers. 𝗔 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲: As part of the Stern-Wywiol Gruppe, we made it onto German TV! A local news show by Hessischer Rundfunk covering Food ingredients Europe invited us to participate in a spontaneous video interview - and we couldn’t say no! In summer, the sun’s UVB rays can be used by our skin to produce vitamin D. However, with the lower sun angle in northern regions from October to April, our bodies don’t get enough of it, which can lead to Vitamin D deficiency – a key factor in a weakened immune system. It may influence the adaptive immune response by the 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 (e.g. by promoting T-cell activity) Vitamin D has several important functions for the immune system, so maintaining a sufficient level of it is particularly important. Immune cells and various proteins important for the immune system are dependent on zinc. A  deficiency can reduce the production of antibodies and compromise the immune system's ability to fight off pathogens effectively.
