What an honor to see TUI's Chief Sustainability Officer Thomas Ellerbeck among the 100 most influential and distinguished CSO’s in Europe. Thomas is a Member of TUI‘s Group Executive Committee, overseeing Governmental Affairs & Public Policy, Communications/PR, TUI‘s Foundations and Sustainability. Among the awarded European Managers are other reputable Germany-based multinational companies, including: Petra Wicklandt, PhD (Merck), Renata Jungo Brüngger (Mercedes-Benz Group AG), Dr. Sebastian Rudolph (Volkswagen Group/Porsche AG), Sophia Leonora Mendelsohn (SAP) as well as Silke Jolowicz (Munich Re) - but also other international colleagues like Bérangère Ruchat (Richemont), Michael Baldinger (UBS Group), Christoph Nabholz (Swiss Re) and Celine Herweijer (HSBC). It is clear that sustainability is a topic that is equally important across all industries. Congratulations to all those who will be awarded during the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2025. Most important to TUI’s sustainability strategy is the holistic approach encompassing ecological, social, and economic sustainability. The SBTi initiatives include the business sectors of Airlines, Hotels & Resorts, and Cruises with our three cruise lines in Germany and the UK. Another big part of our strategy in the areas of education and the development of destinations is the TUI Care Foundation, with which we operate in around 30 countries. Another notable initiative is The Rhodes Co-Lab. Together with the government of the Southern Aegean and the Government of Greece, TUI aims to develop the first holistic, sustainable destination with all local partners. The goal is to expand the results and experiences from Rhodes to other destinations, primarily testing and then implementing the scalability of measures. ✨ It's a bit of a tradition – The festive season video from the TUI management 🎬 👩🍳 👨🍳 Recently, our Group Executive Committee (GEC) came together for a unique Christmas cooking class in Warsaw. 🇵🇱 As they couldn’t cook for all our colleagues – as they would have loved to do – the team did it exemplary for some of our Polish colleagues. They prepared a traditional Polish meal, transforming the kitchen into a place of laughter, teamwork, and mutual appreciation. Cooking truly brings people together, and the warmth of the evening went beyond the dishes they created. We're delighted to share the highlights from the evening in this video. ⬇️ Thank you. The TUI UK comms team around Lucy Langtry, Rachel Mole and Nathan Ruff has just hosted five journalists and their children on a magical journey and explored this question. 🛫 Festive flights: While our Customer Airport Teams (CARs) transform into Santa's helpers, the cabin crew provides entertainment with onboard caroling and games. 🤝 Teamwork: At -17 degrees, the destination teams and hotel staff work hand in hand to create unforgettable experiences. ❄ Adventures in winter wonderland: Whether it's a meeting with Santa, a husky sled ride or a snowmobile ride, marvellous memories can be created. 🆕 We are strengthening our presence in Asia – New hotel projects will drive growth in the region 🌏 The expansion of the hotel portfolio is planned in China 🇨🇳, Vietnam 🇻🇳 and Indonesia 🇮🇩 , among others. In the coming years, TUI will more than double its number of the hotels in Asia. Following a visit to China and Vietnam, TUI Group CEO Sebastian Ebel said: "Asia is a growth region that attracts new customers to TUI. We are becoming a holiday provider in Asia for customers from the Far East. Our hotel clusters in Africa, Central America and Asia open up new growth prospects for TUI.
