We are very proud to announce that UniWearables is officially funded by the START-interaktiv program of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany (BMBF) since April! "START-interaktiv: Interactive Technologies for Health and Quality of Life" is a project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany (BMBF). The project aims to promote and support innovations that use interactive technologies to improve health and quality of life, provide better health management tools and resources for the public and professionals, and foster innovation and collaboration to improve people's lives. As part of the START Interactive programme, we will work closely with partner Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin to explore the interactive capabilities of our wearable for continuous vital signs monitoring to develop even more innovative solutions for future digital health applications: https://lnkd.in/euhp96Bd This is a significant milestone in our development and we are confident that through our efforts and collaboration we will bring more innovation to medical technology! #UniWearables #START-interaktiv #BMBF

“Did you know that a device the size of a matchbox could soon take a load off the shoulders of caregivers? ” Well, it’s true, and we were thrilled to showcase it at one of Berlin’s most prestigious events! The Berliner Hoffest 2024 took place on September 3rd under the motto "International Berlin," where about 4,000 invited guests gathered in front of the Rotes Rathaus to celebrate our vibrant city. For the first time, UniSensor made its debut at this grand event, proudly presented at the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) booth. BUA highlighted a range of innovative projects showcasing Berlin’s strength in research and entrepreneurial collaboration—especially in the health tech space. We seized the opportunity to demonstrate our breakthrough in medical wearables, catching the attention of many, including Senator for Science, Health, and Care Dr. Ina Czyborra. What a great opportunity! At the 100th anniversary of IFA Berlin we received a high-ranking visit from Berlin's mayor Kai Wegner and IFA CEO Leif Lindner! As a participant in the joint stand of Science & Startups and TUBS GmbH, we were selected as an innovative startup to demonstrate in detail our solution for a clinical wearable for continuous vital data monitoring. As a made in berlin startup, we are proud to be able to make an important contribution to optimising the quality of care on normal wards and are delighted that our idea was met with so much interest. Additionally, we were also interviewed by RBB for a short programme in the evening show of RBB! (you can see the link to the interview in the comments, from 10:45) Thank you Science & Startups and TUBS GmbH for this opportunity! We made a strong presence at IFA 2024, showcasing a diverse lineup of startups in the Innovation Hall, which targeted sectors such as Cybersecurity, AI & Sustainability, New Work, and Wearables.
