As 2024 comes to a close, we reflect on a year defined by progress, resilience, and collaboration across U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa. Together with our #Allies and partners, we’ve pushed boundaries, built stronger connections, and upheld the values that drive our mission forward. This year, we: ✅ Strengthened readiness with joint exercises like Air Defender 24, African Lion 24, and 1v1 - the first-ever basic fighter maneuver exercise at Ramstein Air Base. This unique exercise sharpened the skills of our pilots, fostering adaptability and precision in high-intensity scenarios. ✅ Enhanced strategic reach through Bomber Task Force-Europe, showcasing the global reach and deterrence capabilities of U.S. bomber aircraft. These missions demonstrated our ability to seamlessly integrate with allies and project power when and where it’s needed. ✅ Honored history and sacrifice by supporting the 80th D-Day commemoration. Our Airmen participated in events across Normandy, paying tribute to the courage and commitment of the heroes who laid the foundation for peace and freedom. ✅ Responded to emerging challenges with agility, ensuring security and stability across two continents. As we look toward 2025, we remain committed to advancing peace, stability, and cooperation. #StrongerTogether U.S. European Command U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM)

🎉 Celebrating Excellence! 🎉 During a special ceremony today, Maj. Gen. Joseph Campo, USAFE-AFAFRICA director of operations, strategic deterrence, and nuclear integration, presented the rank of Staff Sergeant to Darlene Orozco through the Stripes for Exceptional Performers (STEP) program. A STEP promotion is a rare and prestigious recognition reserved for Airmen who demonstrate exceptional performance and potential beyond their peers. It’s a direct promotion to the next rank, awarded in acknowledgment of extraordinary dedication and accomplishments. SSgt Orozco's promotion is a testament to her dedication, leadership, and impact. As a command and control technician with the 5th Combat Training Squadron, she has consistently performed at levels beyond her rank, ensuring mission success and exemplifying what it means to be a leader in uniform. Congratulations, SSgt Orozco! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! #USAF #Leadership #AirForceExcellence
