We had the honour of opening #ROPAT2024 in Bucharest this week organised by Asociația Română pentru Smart City. Our Business Development Manager, Ionel Craciun, delivered an inspiring keynote on the transformative potential of public-private partnerships in modernising Romania's highway and railway infrastructure. Key highlights: ✅ Public and private funding must work together to optimise infrastructure investments. ✅ A streamlined regulatory environment is essential for faster network deployment. ✅ Competition frameworks should enable shared infrastructure development. This impactful presentation was made possible through the cross-functional collaboration between our Local Market of Romania and the TopCo 5G Corridors Team, with the support of Marta Ventura Martínez and Gerhard Machinger. A shout out to our brilliant team in Portugal who joined the Environmental Compensation Initiative in Vouzela to plant trees and give back to the environment.    This was an occasion that really reminded us of the importance of giving back to the planet and helping to leave it better than when we found it.    We’re proud of our colleagues for championing initiatives like us, and inspiring others to take action for our environment.    Thank you to all of those involved!

We're connecting innovative EV charging solutions⚡   In collaboration with Cascais Próxima and Smartlamppost, we've helped launch the first electric vehicle chargers integrated into public lighting columns in the Cascais LivingLab, located at Praça do Junqueiro, Carcavelos.    This project transforms urban lighting into sustainable infrastructure, combining connectivity, sensing, and electric mobility.   Operated by Galp and supported by E-REDES, these chargers make electric vehicle charging more accessible for residents, visitors, and local employees. Ever experienced dropped calls or shaky connectivity on a train? It’s a clear sign that Europe’s transport networks need modernising with faster, more reliable connectivity. This week, our CEO, Christian H. represented Vantage Towers at the event we organised in the European Parliament, "#5G Corridors: Bringing Connectivity to Europe’s Railways," hosted by MEP Adina Valean. Alongside key policy and industry leaders, Christian highlighted the synergy opportunities offered by the transition to the Future Railway Mobile Communication System with 5G deployments. Digitalising Europe’s railways is key to ensure EU competitiveness and growth.
