🌬️ EXITING MILESTONES We at WINDEA would like to congratulate our shareholder Buss Ports for its key role in two monumental offshore wind projects being carried out with RWE and Mammoet. 💪⚡ 📢 Nordseecluster A & Thor Offshore Wind Farm In collaboration with Mammoet, Buss Ports will handle the marshalling of 116 XXL monopiles weighing up to 1,700 tons and measuring 96 meters in length at Buss Terminal Eemshaven BV for these projects. 🏋♂️ At Thyboron Port, Buss Ports will handle secondary steel structures for RWE’s 1.1 GW Thor wind farm ➡ the largest in Denmark. For this purpose, Buss Ports will lease and operate an area of approximately 100,000 square metres and the corresponding quay in the southern part of the port. 🇩🇰 These projects highlight Buss Ports' expertise, experience and safety mindset gained through more than a decade of supporting the industry. 🌱💚 #RenewableEnergy #OffshoreWind #BussPorts #Thor
First foundations for RWE ’s offshore wind farm Thor in the Danish North Sea have arrived at Buss Terminal Eemshaven BV. The first batch of eight monopile foundations for the wind turbines were offloaded and stored at our base port of Eemshaven in the Netherlands. Buss Terminal Eemshaven BV, part of Hamburg-based Buss Ports, provides storage space, heavy unloading equipment and operators at the port, whilst also managing the port logistics. In spring 2025, foundations will be shipped from the Dutch heavy-lift terminal in Eemshaven to the Thor construction site in the Danish North Sea, located approximately 22 kilometres off the west coast of Jutland. With more than one gigawatt of capacity, Thor offshore wind farm will be capable of producing enough green electricity to supply the equivalent of more than one million Danish households. The wind farm is expected to be fully operational no later than end of 2027. The load-in process of the first eight monopiles was completed within a week at the terminal, handled by an experienced team of engineers and stevedores operating SPMTs and special equipment to transport and ensure the storage of the foundations onto specially constructed dunes. Belgium assumes the presidency of the North Seas Energy Cooperation 🌍 From January 2025, Belgium will take over the rotating presidency of the North Sea Energy Cooperation (NSEC) from Denmark. This is a significant moment as Belgium seeks a green transformation across the North Sea with three key objectives: 1️⃣ Fully exploiting the North Sea's renewable energy potential 2️⃣ Strengthening European supply chains and industry 3️⃣ Accelerating offshore green hydrogen projects Preparations for this presidency are already in full swing, a program framework has been established and initial partnerships with Germany have been concluded. Belgium has committed to supporting Germany in the organization of the upcoming North Sea Summit in Hamburg in June 2025, which will be an important milestone for sustainable energy cooperation in the region. 💡The NSEC itself provides a voluntary, collaborative EU framework to drive the development of offshore renewable energy in all North Sea countries and regions. Its members include Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the European Commission. #RenewableEnergy #NSEC #NorthSea #GreenHydrogen #Belgium

🌊 Congratulations on the milestone for the Thor offshore wind farm Congratulations to our partner Buss Terminal Eemshaven BV on the successful arrival and storage of the first monopile foundations for RWE's ambitious Thor offshore wind farm in the Danish North Sea! These first eight foundations, each up to 100 meters high and weighing 1,500 tons, mark the start of a project in which the Buss Terminal Eemshaven will handle a total of 72 foundations. With a capacity of over 1 gigawatt, the Thor offshore wind farm will eventually supply the equivalent of more than one million Danish households with electricity - that's almost the energy consumption of all the households in a city the size of Copenhagen! Congratulations once again to the skilled team at Buss Ports for efficiently completing this crucial phase. To the exciting journey ahead! #OffshoreWind #RenewableEnergy #RWE #BussPorts #ThorWindFarm #SustainableFuture

📢 Wind industry shows determination for domestic production - BMWK meets with industry representatives Last week, Federal Minister Dr. Robert Habeck received representatives of the wind industry at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK – Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz). The goal: a strong expansion of wind energy in Germany – and the industry is ready to drive this forward. 🌬️ Five key areas of action have been identified: 🔒 (Cyber)security of wind turbines 🚀 Fair international competitive conditions 🔋 Reduction of dependency on critical components 🏦 Financing security for production ramp-up 💼 Review of public subsidies in the event of distortions of competition To ensure the production ramp-up, the industry will need around EUR 16 billion in guarantee and protection instruments by 2030. An expansion of the KfW program “Consortium Loan Sustainable Transformation” could play a key role here. The EU bank EIB has also submitted a complementary offer. Voices from the industry: IG Metall is calling for a redesign of the tenders with a higher German value-added share and jobs protected by collective agreements. The Stiftung OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE welcomes the BMWK measures, but is calling for additional reforms to the tender design for offshore wind areas. 🔄 A strong plan - but only a first step. The transformation of the wind industry is crucial for a sustainable future!

Currently, not only our "WINDEA Leibniz" is in operation for Ørsted, but also our "WINDEA one" for over a year now. Last year, our shareholder Ems Maritime Offshore (EMO) launched its first hybrid CTV, the "WINDEA one", for transporting personnel as well as construction and spare parts to the offshore wind turbines. The vessel is 31.8 m long, 10 m wide and has a draft of 1.8 m. In addition to an innovative drive concept, the new design offers a modern active fender system, which offers more stability when approaching an offshore wind turbine at sea and thus ensures more safety when the technicians climb over it.

It's like the Olympic spirit with passing the baton. 🏅 And we continue the exciting journey towards the finish line! 🚢🏁 #OffshoreWind #CSOV #OlympicSpirit
On 1st August, the 870-tonne heavy stern for Bernhard Schulte Offshore’s CSOV was moved to the dry dock to be assembled with the vessel's forepart. This vessel is the first of two Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) which Bernhard Schulte Offshore GmbH ordered in 2023. Crist Shipyard in Poland is preparing the hulls of both vessels before they embark on their journey to ULSTEIN Verft in Norway for completion. In a next step, the large components such as thrusters, motors and the main switch board will be installed as well as larger diameter pipework will also be laid. Stay tuned!
