Back in August, our team participated in XR HACK and built a collaborative XR app for students, allowing them to learn some physics and improve their communication skills with feedback from OpenAI. Well, it was too good of an idea to set aside, so we developed it further and wrote a paper: “Quantum Quadrant: Could We Use XR and AI Together in Education? Or Rather, Should We?” This paper was published in EuroXR 2024 and I had the opportunity to present it this week in Athens. Attending the Augmented World Expo AWE this year was an inspiring experience! The energy, innovation, and sheer potential of XR, AR, and VR technologies at the event highlighted the rapid evolution of this field and the amazing possibilities it holds for both business and personal applications. From demos showcasing next-gen augmented reality hardware to thought-provoking discussions on the role of XR in reshaping collaboration and productivity, AWE showcased a powerful vision for the future. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in spatial computing, mixed reality, and computer vision. It was also great to see familiar faces from XR Hack Stockholm again! I really enjoyed discovering all the cool projects showcased at AWE with Ahmed Hussein, Sneh Erande and Milad Tousi. It was also a pleasure to have a chat with Andrew Dyke and Iggy Love again! Meeting up with friends and fellow innovators from the hackathon reminded me of the incredible community driving XR forward. Can’t wait to see what we all build next! It’s been just over a week since AWE EU in Vienna! 🌟 I had the pleasure of attending alongside the amazing XR HACK "Fresh Do" crew – Katie Eggleston, James Hosken, and Mimi Harmer – as part of our prize for winning the Social Gaming category at the London XR HACK last August. 🎉 I had a wonderful time exploring the new XR tech on display and attending some really inspiring talks; It was exciting to see the diverse range of applications for XR and where it may take us in the future. It was also lovely to meet new people in the industry as well as seeing some familiar faces!(Thanks Jeremy Dalton for somehow squeezing all of the Global XR HACK winning teams into one photo!) A standout moment for me was witnessing the talented young innovators at iVG.World showcase their case study of their Mars Immersion XR Program alongside Women in Immersive Technologies Europe and Procter & Gamble. I also had a great time trying out the new Snap Inc. Spectacles! From Kaisermühlen VIC I took a 5 minute walk and I reached AWE EU 2024, world's largest spatial computing event!! With over 2000 participants and 120 exhibitors this event was set to be AWEsome. At AWE I got to meet industry experts, researchers, startup founders and a lot of AWEsome people. The discussions which happen at AWE are one of the best part of AWE. Some of us were discussing on what would be the age when people start wearing smart contact lenses? (Like how we give iPads to the younger generation. What will be the limit if smart contact lenses come by) Will there be something else by then that we won't even need the contact lenses? Even discussing about something like this blows my mind sometimes. I attended AWE with my team members from XR hack Ahmed Hussein Adrian Hirt Milad Tousi & all participants (100+) from XR hack which was held in 4 contries Tiago Silva Barthélémy Massot Philip Staib Tim Ebert Sebastian Wloch James Hosken which made AWE more exciting. Talking to Pete Daukintis about the future of spatial computing and what Amazon Web Services (AWS) is doing to overcome the challenges the industry is facing was very insightful. I got to see AWEsome companies and their products From smart contact lenses (XPANCEO), haptic pens (Senmag Robotics ), scent devices (Scentient ), smart glasses (Snap Inc. ) and a lot more. This event was filled with hope, creativity, technology and statergies. Someone like me who is still trying to find his career path in this field, I got the energy to keep pushing, learn new things and create for XR. At AWE I was representing Qubit-India which was very exciting and I would like to thank Ajjay Parge for giving me this opportunity. I would like thank AWE and XR HACK for this AWEsome experience... Hello everyone, My friend Yunus Efe Ersöz and I attended the AWE EU 2024 event, held at Austria Center Vienna on October 29-30. This journey began when my friend Yunus and I participated in XR HACK, where we won the Runner Up award for “Best Use of MR Stylus,” which eventually brought us to Vienna. During the event, we attended many conferences in the XR field; each one was highly educational and eye-opening. We also had the opportunity to meet many successful people. 🌟 Reflecting on an incredible experience as part of the 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗩𝗜𝗣 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 at AWE 2024! 🌟 I’m deeply grateful to Ori Inbar for his generosity in making this opportunity possible, and to Dace Campbell for leading the program with such dedication. From expo tours to insightful roundtables, the program offered a deep dive into the intersection of 𝗔𝗜, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗔𝗜, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗫𝗥 for enterprise. 🙏 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 to experts Nick Rosa, Jan Pflueger, and Andy Gstoll, whose insights during the roundtables on the intersection of GenAI and XR for enterprise, GenAI in product development, and AI assistants were both inspiring and thought-provoking. Our conversations were truly energizing and made the event even more memorable.
