🚀 Let’s Fly to the Moon! We’re happy to share our work on the #immersive visitor experience for the new DLR / ESA LUNA lunar training center in Cologne-Porz! yellow was entrusted to develop, design, and implement the welcome and visitor areas for this unique training center. Through captivating #scenography and visual staging, we brought lunar training to life. Officially opened on August 25th 2024 by Minister President Hendrik Wüst and Economic Affairs Minister Mona Neubaur, LUNA is all about inspiring awe for #moonexploration 🌙. Highlights of our design include: ✨ Panoramic lunar imagery at 1:1 scale, atmospheric lighting, and authentic sounds from real moon missions, creating an unforgettable view from the visitor room into the simulation hall. A real Apollo 16 moon rock and interactive displays, where visitors can even touch simulated regolith, bringing them closer to lunar research. A huge thank you to the teams at DLR and ESA for their trust and support. Together, we accomplished this project—from concept to opening—in just 3 months, including custom furniture, AV installations, and all print production. Together with GONEO GmbH, we’ve developed a modern yet timeless private #ChargingStation a.k.a. wallbox that breaks away from traditional automotive design norms. Drawing on Bull’s brand #DesignDNA, which always thrives in an architectural context, we focused on seamlessly integrating this #wallbox into building architecture. It's not just a functional charger—it’s an #aestheticstatement that mirrors its surroundings with form and material choices, effortlessly blending into modern designs. What an iconic night! During the Salone del Mobile in #Milan, the Rat für Formgebung - German Design Council presented the ICONIC AWARDS 2024: Interior Products. Among the celebrated winners was yellow design for our client Blue Sanitary Ware, whose MN Accessories Bathroom Series was awarded with the prestigious #BestofBest. The jury stated: »For the MN Accessories Bathroom Series from Blue Sanitary Ware, a traditional Japanese method of wood treatment has been reinterpreted and cleverly utilised. Using the Yakisugi or Shou Sugi Ban technique, the wooden parts are charred in the fire in a controlled manner, giving the objects water-repellent properties and a long service life. Individual wood details and metal components, haptics and practicality form a unity at MN Accessories. Particularly commendable: at the end of the product life cycle, the individual parts can be disposed of and recycled separately.« We greatly appreciate this special honour and are proud to have our commitment to innovative and sustainable #design recognised. The award #ceremony in Milan's #Brera Design District was an unforgettable evening.
