🤩 What a weekend in Rome! On Saturday, we co-organized an event with Biotecnologi Italiani to connect different biotech organizations in Europe, with the participation of Biocatalyst Foundation, Magyar Biotechnológus-hallgatók Egyesülete, and Nouvelle Génération des Biotechnologistes (NGB). We also had super insightful discussions about the future of biotech and our roles in it. During our general assembly, we achieved significant milestones for our organization: ✅ Approval of the re-foundation of the organization in Italy, where it was born +20 years ago ✅ Approval of our new statutes and internal regulations, making our organization more agile and comprehensive ✅ Approval of 3 new member organizations ✅ Election of the new Executive Board for ‘24-25 We're excited about all these achievements that bring us closer to the biotech community. 🙌Last Wednesday we had the opportunity to co-organize an inspiring event with the EIT Health Innovators Community, where we explored the shift between academia and industry. This event was the pilot of a Roadshow across Europe, starting in Barcelona📍. We are deeply grateful to our speakers, Laia Espasa Font, Cristina Vilarmau Marsinyach and Nicolás Ensesa Tusell, who gave us valuable insights on three different perspectives: pharma, entrepreneurship and tech transfer, and to our moderator, 🟢 Ismael Ávila, who guided them through the discussions. 🎯We explored their backgrounds, motivations, successes and challenges, and got advice on how to make career choices.
