A leading company specializing in cognitive health research is seeking a reliable and skilled Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. This organization is dedicated to revolutionizing cognitive fitness through the integration of proven scientific methods and cutting-edge technology.

As a key member of the finance team, the Financial Accountant will ensure the preparation of accurate and timely monthly reports. The role involves overseeing accounts payable, preparing the BWA (business management analysis) in collaboration with the tax advisor, and acting as the primary contact for finance-related inquiries. The position offers the opportunity to drive efficiency and innovation in digital health finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly BWA and report directly to management.
• Post incoming and outgoing invoices, as well as manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Propose and implement automation and digitization initiatives for the accounting department.

Key Skills/Expertise

• Completed training as a tax clerk or equivalent commercial qualification.
• Experience in a stand-alone accountant role
• Experience working as an accountant for a tech firm
• Proficiency in DATEV and MS Office.
• Interest in digitalization topics related to financial accounting, such as DMS (Document Management Systems).
• Self-driven and responsible work ethic.
• Fluent communication in German is required (C2 or mother tongue)
• Ideal to have experience with payroll
