This week, we were delighted to sponsor and participate in the Royal Microscopical Society Frontiers in Physical Imaging conference, joining discussions on emerging techniques in electron microscopy for physical sciences. This new event covered a broad range of applications across in-situ microscopy, radiation damage and dose management, and imaging of hard-soft matter interfaces. Hitachi’s novel techniques—such as cryo broad ion beam milling, ultra-low kV STEM, and triple-beam FIB—were highlighted as promising solutions for addressing challenges with beam-sensitive materials. #electronmicroscopy #materialsresearch #science

We're thrilled to see our SU9000 being used to push the limits of scientific discovery. Congratulations to Raynald Gauvin and everyone involved in this remarkable work! 👏 #STEM #EELS #electronmicroscopy
I am very proud of our last paper published in Ultramicroscopy, Elemental quantification using electron energy-loss spectroscopy with a low voltage scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM-EELS), by Nicolas Dumaresq, Nicolas Brodusch, Stéphanie Bessette and myself. We are the first to demonstrate that quantitative chemical analysis is possible using EELS at 30, 20 and 10 keV with the fantastic low energy STEM SU-9000 from Hitachi. This is the best electron microscope in the world in my opinion and we have it since 2017. We were the first to have an EELS system made from Hitachi High-Technology.
