Last night, we had a wonderful night at Lokomotivværkstedet in Copenhagen, where we celebrated the winners of this year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year country finals. The jury awarded Autorola Group with the main prize as Entrepreneur of the Year and Aasted as the winner of the Export and Globalization-category, the two categories in which Abacus Medicine Group was nominated. Both companies have grown in an impressive way, so we can only say that the award was well deserved. Congratulations to all the winners and see you next year hopefully! #EOYDanmark #abacusmedicinegroup #entrepreneurship #betteraccessbetterhealthcare #healthcare

They’ve been at it most of the year. Meeting at regular intervals, talking, dreaming and expanding on (mostly) work-related subjects. Maxine Hamilton, VP of Medical and Technical Services at Abacus Medicine Pharma Services, has had the pleasure of mentoring two mentees in this year’s Global Mentor Programme at Abacus Medicine Group. - Through the programme, we managed to create a space where we could share thoughts and find understanding to a degree that benefitted all parties. It was real mentorship going both ways, and we all learned so much together, she says. Maxine’s mentees, tender & project manager Pernille Nielsen and product analyst Solene Lapasset, agree. They’ve benefitted immensely from Maxine’s guidance – and look forward to continuing the mentorship after the official closure of the programme. - I am in the beginning of my career, and the opportunity to get a set of more experienced eyes on the journey in front of me has really cleared things up. It allowed me to think freely on what’s important to me in my work-life, says Pernille. - I come from a non-corporate background. With Maxine’s help I’ve been able to reflect on how I contribute in the best way possible to my team, while also feeling comfortable enough to honestly share what can challenge me, says Solene. Global P&C Specialist Matilde de Stricker Borch put together and lead this year’s programme with Head of Learning and Development, Jakob Kaalund. The 2024 programme introduced the idea of a global effort where pairs were put together across locations. - As Abacus grows, this is an important part of our toolkit to empower our employees to realise their opportunities while developing and reinforcing collaboration across our locations. We’re getting big – but we’re still one company with a strong culture of understanding and a caring community, says Matilde. #abacusmedicinegroup #mentorship #betteraccessbetterhealthcare

We won! 🎉 Last night, EY hosted their Entrepreneur of the Year competition for the Copenhagen region, and this year we ran away with the prize. - What a night! I am truly happy that the achievements of the Abacus Medicine Group were recognized in the company of so many other inspiring entrepreneurs. After 20 years of success, we are still hungry for growth and dedicated to providing better access to medicine. This award is dedicated to our over 1500 dedicated and innovative employees, says CEO Flemming Wagner. Why did the jury decide on Abacus Medicine Group as the winner? Well, Henrik Pedersen, partner at EY and responsible for the Copenhagen region in EY Entrepreneur of the Year puts it this way: - Abacus Medicine is the story of a father and son who, 20 years ago, joined forces with the goal of ensuring better access to medicine, and who over the past 20 years have created significant growth and jobs. Today, Abacus is a leader in their business. Abacus Medicine Group has previously been awarded 12 Gazelle-statuettes for our growth journey, more than any other company in Denmark. #EOYDanmark #abacusmedicinegroup #entrepreneurship #betteraccessbetterhealthcare #healthcare

Abacus Medicine Group keeps moving up in the world! Today, the Danish business paper Børsen has published their Top1000-list, showcasing the thousand largest companies in Denmark based on revenue. Once again, we’re moving up the list. Six places to be exact – placing us on number 83 with last year’s revenue of 9,018 million Danish kroner. - Thanks to the combined efforts of our dedicated colleagues across all our locations and business areas, we once again managed to beat expectations - and we will continue to do so in the future, says CEO Flemming Wagner. 2023 was a successful year, and 2024 also looks promising for the Abacus Medicine Group. Business is growing, we have welcomed many new colleagues and recently celebrated our 20-year anniversary. Still, this is just the beginning. - Even with all the celebrations, we are rolling up our sleeves like we always do. Today with another affirmation of the fact that we’re on the right track, and that we are providing better access to medicine to more and more people every day, says Wagner. #børsentop1000 #betteraccessbetterhealthcare #abacusmedicinegroup #healthcare

I want to lead - and I want to do it right! These days we’re developing the skills of our emerging leaders with Fundamental Leadership Development Training. To help our employees realise their opportunities and potential as managers in the best way possible. - I think it’s an exciting path, both for me personally and for the company. I want to lead at some point, and I want to do it right. The FLDT shows me how and assures me that I have the right approach to it, says Gergő Fülöp. He’s a design specialist from Regulatory in Hungary. He’s worked for Abacus Medicine for seven years, and even though he hasn’t held any official leadership positions yet, he’s been in many situations requiring leadership skills. Now, he’s ready to take things up a notch. This module is the first of three, as the training stretches into December. According to Jesper Nielsen, our Learning & Development Partner, Gergő’s words are very much in line with the purpose of FLDT: - We are committed to nurturing emerging leaders. Our goal is to establish a foundational understanding of leadership, provide essential skills, and pave their way for further growth in leadership roles, he says. Thank you to Training Gallery ApS and Gert Møker for running our training together with Jesper Nielsen and Head of Learning & Development Jakob Kaalund as well as a handful of our most experienced managers. Good luck on your leadership journey everyone! #abacusmedicinegroup #movinghealthcaremovingyou #betteraccessbetterhealthcare #realiseyouropportunities #leadership #healthcare

ABACUS MEDICINE GROUP TURNS 20! It’s the day of our 20th jubilee. We were joined by business partners and good friends of our company celebrating two decades of continued growth and successfully providing better access to healthcare. Throughout the month, we’ll be celebrating with colleagues too at grand parties at our different locations. There is no way we would be where we are today without our great business partners and our dedicated and caring employees. Because of them, we’ve developed in ways that are not often seen in Danish-founded companies, and while we’re proud of our heritage, we’re also extremely excited to see how far we can go. United by a common purpose, we believe that the entire Group has so much more to offer to the benefit of healthcare systems, patients and society. Thank you for following our journey so far! #Jubilee #AbacusMedicineGroup #BetterAccessBetterHealthcare

How it started vs. how it's going It's our jubilee month! Next week, Abacus Medicine turns 20 - and what better time to look back on how far we've come? Back in the 00s, when our Founder and CEO Flemming Wagner went to expopharm to spread the word about Abacus Medicine for the first time, he simply printed a sign, laminated it and put it up on a high table in the meeting point area of the fair. He still keeps the sign in his office today. Since then, we've been at the expopharm every year to connect with customers and partners in the industry, and both our company and our stands have grown. Last year, we upgraded our setup with a 140m2 stand. We're making a similar appearance at the fair next month and look forward to seeing you all there! #Jubilee #AbacusMedicineGroup #BetterAccessBetterHealthcare
