Extreme Makeover - Portfolio Page Edition 🎇 We have so many fantastic portfolio companies, and they deserve the best representation, so we have build a completely new portfolio page 👷♂️ You will be able to learn about the companies, why we have invested, visit their media site with images and videos and read about the founders. Learn 'tis the season with tiny 🤓 Tiny are working to encourage more STEM students, to combat the lack of STEM labour in the future. With a combination of hardware and software, Tiny allow students and teachers to discover and test science, through hands on learning and a universe of online lessons. Tiny have created an online learning universe that offer courses on subjects such as biology, Sustainable Development Goals, nutrition and technology, with experiments that can be performed with the Tinyfarm programmable box. Using programming, students can control temperature, water levels, nutrition, light wavelenghts and CO2 levels in the Tinyfarm, to see the effects on plant life. This will aid teachers in engaging their students on a new level. #adventcalendar #startups

"Unicorns are coming to town" 🎶 The Accelerace advent calendar 🎄 Throughout December we will display a small section of our incredible portfolio. And on this December 1st Sunday, let us introduce you to Bikekey. Bikekey are looking to combat the huge problem with bicycle theft, by creating a bicycle registry verified by your personal ID. It means that if the bike is found, the owner can be quickly and easily identified. They have been running a successful pilot project with Lærestandens Brandforsikring which shows that many more got their lost and stolen bikes back again - 16 % to be exact, which is much more than usual. Not only does this help combat theft and fraud, it also brings home some of the 100.000 scrapped bikes each year in Denmark, reducing the environmental impact. We have based all our teachings, investments and acceleration on former 'Accelerace-founders' providing knowledge for and helping our new founders - and this is another wonderful example! 😍 We are doomed to fail if we don't learn from the mistakes others made. That is why we always slightly adjust what we teach new founders, based on our latest experiences, and why our Allstar mentors are an active part of the journey our portfolio companies go on, on their way to the next round of investments 🚀

What a day we had at Ignite Odense 🔥 beer (water) pong, prize wheel and great panels! It was an absolute joy, to be able to speak, to such an amount of young entrepreneurs (and future founders 🤞), and of course beat them in beer (water) pong. The energy level that everyone at Ignite showed for entrepreneurship and our games, was out of this world! At The Funding Stage, our fund manager, David Today V., got the chance to facilitated a panel with Frederik Svanholm, Joachim Schelde and Andreas Green Rasmussen - and with their expertise, it was quite an easy task 😇 Finally we were happy to be able to give away a lot of merch, unicorn candy and copies of The Insightful Startup. We hope to be able to come back next year, and if you didn’t get to speak to us, get in touch!

It is a fantastic programme that Ignite Odense have put on for tomorrow, but we're biased so we think there are three panels you HAVE to check out 🤩 At 12.15 pm on The Tech Stage, CEO of our portfolio company Dreamplan, and one of our absolute favourites, Stine Kalmer Jørgensen, is part of a panel discussing how women can navigate in the tech industry. It is as strong a line up as you'll see, with Nanna Bach Munkholm, Cecilie Rosendal, Lisbeth Chawes and Vlada Axelsen providing their expertise alongside Stine. At 4.10pm on The Impact Stage, Ana A. from our wonderful partners, Even Founders, is part of a strong panel discussing female access to funding 💪 but you might have to leave a few minutes before the end because.... ...at 4.45pm on The Funding Stage, our fund manager, David Today V., is moderator of a fantastic panel comprised of Frederik Svanholm, Joachim Schelde and Andreas Green Rasmussen. They will be talking about how startups can use their VC-funding in the best possible way. We promise it will be insightful! What exactly is it that Omics Studio does? We've tried to explain here, with a little help from the founders of our newest investment. It is a really exciting and important field of research, that can be given a big boost in managing time and resources. Kenneth Kastaniegaard, Patrick Østergaard and Louis Loeb are the founders behind this new way of analysing and uncovering pathways, that could unlock the full potential of omics discovery. Accelerace are teaming up with Tech Nordic Advocates on the Diversity Venture Fund 🔥   The Diversity Venture Fund aim to give better access to capital for female/non-binary tech-founders by preparing them for fundraising and connecting them with investors. This includes sending pitch decks and pitching for investors such as us.   At Accelerace it has always been our goal to invest in and help the best startups out there, no matter gender, race or geographical location. That’s why we are excited to partner with Diversity Venture Fund, to secure an even more diverse deal flow. “We're thrilled to have Accelerace join the Diversity Venture Fund! We have invested in aid for omics-researchers 💰 Omics are fields that hold immense potential for understanding complex biological systems and for uncovering key insights into disease mechanisms, diagnostics, and treatment pathways. But, the data generated in omics research is highly complex and often requires researchers to spend months linking data points across bioinformatic databases and scientific literature. Omics Studio is here to make the research less complex and more effective, thus wasting fewer, valuable research resources.
