We're pleased to announce that we are deepening our partnership with Vestas by providing Port Services and Stevedoring for their new wind turbine factory in Szczecin, #Poland. "We are honoured that Vestas has entrusted us with this assignment for their new factory. Our local presence and extensive knowledge in running terminal operations and handling wind turbine components will ensure a seamless process," says Brian Sørensen, Commercial Director Port Service at Blue Water. Blue Water and Vestas have worked together for many years on various global wind projects, with Blue Water handling terminal operations, stevedoring, storage, agency and maintenance of heavy wind turbine components for Vestas at different locations worldwide, with Szczecin now being added. Our CEO Søren Nørgaard Thomsen has been appointed Finnish Honorary Consul. The appointment comes as #Finland opens an honorary consulate in Esbjerg. The ambition is to strengthen the relations and cooperation between Finland and South-West Jutland, with Port Esbjerg in particular as a focal point. ”The shared interest in the green transition and efficient logistics creates opportunities for partnerships and investments that build bridges between the business community and the ports in South-West Jutland and Finland. Through stronger relations, South-West Jutland can be strengthened as an economic centre and a role model for how international cooperation can promote growth and sustainable development throughout the Nordic region. Together with Danish and Finnish players, we can develop solutions that meet the needs of both nations within transport, logistics and energy,” says Søren Nørgaard Thomsen. The appointment was marked at a reception at Blue Water Shipping attended by amongst others the Finnish Ambassador in Denmark - Harri Kämäräinen: “We believe it is an important time to strengthen the relation between Finland and West Jutland - in relation to the general development and with Finland's entry into NATO. We are excited to announce that Blue Water BREB GmbH our joint venture with BREB GmbH & Co. KG, has been awarded 50% of the concession for the expanded Cuxhaven Port, a key hub for offshore wind energy. This ambitious project, set to launch in 2028, will include over 30 hectares of ultra-modern facilities and 1,250 metres of berths to support both onshore and offshore wind logistics. This development is made possible by a unique collaboration between the Federal Republic of Germany, the State of Lower Saxony and private stakeholders, each contributing €100 million to this transformative initiative. "This expansion marks a significant step forward in on- & offshore wind logistics," says Brian Sørensen, Commercial Director, Wind Logistics at Blue Water. "It equips us to meet the growing needs of the renewable energy sector and reinforces our commitment to sustainable development through strong partnerships and expertise." We have officially opened our new Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd of Brisbane warehouse together with 200 clients and business partners! 👏💙Situated on a 5.178 hectare site on the Fisherman Islands, this new facility consolidates all of our port operations into one location. With a newly designed 15,000 square metre warehouse, 500 square metre office, over 30,000 square metres of hardstand, wash bay and bond store, the facility strengthens our focus on mining, renewables, infrastructure and conventional energy. This milestone enables us to provide better solutions, with seamless import and export processing for shippers and receivers. Delivered in collaboration with Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd, Sparc Architects, Johnstaff and FKG, this project is a testament to strong partnerships. Blue Water's team in #Poland has played a key role as Ship Agent for Noble Corporation and their jackup Noble Resolve, a 70-metre offshore drilling rig ⤵️ After seven months of intensive preparation, working closely with the Polish authorities, Noble Corporation, charterers and subcontractors, the challenging operation has been successfully executed, and the rig has begun the contract. "We are extremely proud to have been able to contribute our knowledge and services to this unique operation.
