HCA Airport expands business park to accommodate more drone companies✈️ HCA Airport has seen a growing demand from companies wanting to join its business park. For the first time in the airport’s history, the commercial area is expanding with 4 hectares. Currently, the airport is home to 25 companies, and now there’s space for even more within drones and manned aviation. This expansion is a major milestone in the airport’s strategy to be a central hub for aviation development – both manned and unmanned. 🚀 “We’re experiencing an increasing demand from companies wanting to join our ecosystem. The current capacity of the business park is fully utilized, which makes this expansion necessary to meet that demand,” explains CEO at HCA Airport, Hans Okholm Vejrup. Drone companies, in particular, are becoming a growing part of the ecosystem at the airport, thanks to the UAS Denmark Test Center.👏 HCA Airport will oversee the development of the new area, while tenants will be responsible for constructing their own buildings. The first constructions are expected to begin early in 2025. Congratulations on this significant expansion. It’s a clear indicator of HCA Airport’s position as a central hub and will also contribute to creating more jobs in the city.

The Christmas Express (Juleekspressen) connects Odense during the holiday season 🚈🎄 This year, as Odense Letbane P/S transforms two of its trams into the Christmas Express, they’ll cruise through Odense’s illuminated streets with an entirely new look. The design celebrates Odense’s history and cultural life, its status as a world-class robotics city, and the iconic architecture that defines the city’s rapid evolution—a place that embraces its history while moving forward at rocket speed. The Christmas Express is more than just transportation—it’s a fun and engaging way to experience the magic of christmas in Odense. ✨ From November 15th to December 27th, passengers on the Christmas Express can participate in a digital christmas competition via an app to win exciting prizes. The christmas game can be started and activated at selected locations throughout the city and on board the tram. 📍 As in 2023, the Christmas Express is once again a reality thanks to a network of strong sponsors working together across Odense to create a shared connection between the city’s many christmas activities. Wow, that was amazing ✨🤖🏸   Two weeks of elite sports and robotics in Odense. VICTOR Denmark Open was once again a unique event, both for the sport and for Odense as a city.   The following week, three major robotics conferences culminated in Odense with #WeekofRobotics.   Odense made its mark on the world map and was once again recognized as a hub for robotics in multiple ways:   💥 The Week of Robotics generated a tourism economic impact of over 19 million DKK 💥 The robotics ecosystem in Odense caught more than 2,5 millions impressions on social medias 💥 90% of the ROSCon guests are considering either working, doing business, or visiting Odense in the future 💥 Robots from Odense were streamed to 265 million households during the Victor Denmark Open 💥 More than 1,500 people participated in one of the three conferences during the Week of Robotics, 1,200 of whom were international attendees 💥 ROSCon and ICSR set a new attendance record 💥 Participants from +50 countries worldwide 💥 Extensive national and international media coverage highlighted Odense during the Denmark Open and the Week of Robotics 💥 Robots and city branding was showcased to all 20,825 Victor Denmark Open spectators 💥 385+ international robotics and AI companies engaged 💥 50+ companies engaged from the local robotics ecosystem   It was two weeks, filled with excitement and recognition of Odense as a hub for robotics and major events. New cobot center at Odense Port will redefine assembly line logic for large scale items in Odense 🦾 Have you heard about the new robot center? The core concept of the SDU Center for Large Structure Production (LSP) is to activate robotization and digitalization within the maritime, construction, and energy sectors. It makes perfect sense to leverage Odense’s position as one of the world’s leading robotics cities, further developing it to address challenges in other industries, enabling future automation. LSP is already present at the port but announced last month that they will expand their presence with a new, larger facility set to be completed in 2025. Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark is behind this new robot center. They have raised millions for the project and have established the perfect setting at Odense Port. In the future, we will see even more mega robots and automated solutions for the production of wind turbines, ships, and buildings at Odense Port. #LSP #automation #robots #investinodense #cityofodense
