They are hazardous for anyone who has to enter the turbine to do inspection, service or repairs. Maintaining a relative humidity (RH) of 30-50% is essential for effective water damage restoration. This RH range helps achieve Equilibrium Moisture Content (EMC), the point where materials balance with the surrounding air, preventing further moisture gain or loss. In water damage restoration, materials release moisture more slowly than they absorb it, so reducing indoor RH by 5-10% below pre-damage levels significantly accelerates drying. Achieving a stable 30-50% RH at 20°C can be challenging for standard condensing dehumidifiers, particularly in cooler conditions, making desiccant dehumidification a reliable solution for restoring water-damaged environments.
