Happy New Years From CVX🍾 As we wrap up 2024, we can’t help but feel incredibly grateful for the amazing year it has been at CVX Ventures. Looking back, we’re proud of the milestones we’ve achieved together. Whether it was helping startups scale to new heights, expanding into two new countries, hosting our first partner meeting outside of Denmark, or seeing our network of founders and investors grow in ways that spark innovation, 2024 has been a year full of momentum. More than anything, we’re grateful for the people who made it all possible. Our partners, our team, and the amazing founders have been the driving force behind everything we’ve accomplished, and we can’t wait to see what’s next. Meet our Team🌟 Meet Oscar Thybo, our Head of Board and Advisory. Originally from Fyn, Oscar has always been one to take chances and try new things. After moving to Copenhagen, he spent a year in London, where he was part of the team that launched Ralph Lauren’s flagship store. It was there that he discovered his passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and building strong relationships, values that have been at the core of his career ever since. With a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s in Economics and Management of Innovation (EMF) from CBS, Oscar combines academic knowledge with hands-on experience to deliver results. Oscar’s entrepreneurial journey took off when he joined his brothers’ start-up, Flyhjælp. He led a team that grew from 5 to 20 people and played a key role in the company’s successful exit process. Those years taught him how to scale a business, face challenges head-on, and create something truly impactful. He joined CVX to deepen his involvement in the start-up ecosystem and connect with passionate founders and innovators. Over the past three years, Oscar has been inspired by the bold ideas and unique business models he encounters. For him, the biggest reward is helping others turn their visions into reality. In addition to his role at CVX, Oscar also serves as a judge at start-up events, where he has a knack for identifying founders who are truly committed to their ideas. He also hosts a podcast, Vækst Maskinen, where he shares insights from the venture scene. Oscar thrives on meaningful conversations and enjoys connecting with people who challenge his perspective and bring fresh ideas to the table. We are fortunate to have Oscar on the team. During his time at CVX, he has helped around 80 companies find the right board and advisory roles. His leadership, experience, and genuine passion for innovation make him an invaluable asset to CVX and the start-ups we support.

The event featured seven engaging cases, including three focused on investments and four on board and advisory roles. These cases represented companies from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and the UK, highlighting the diversity and potential within our network. Meet Our Team🌟 Meet Andreas W. Fabricius, an important part of our Partner Relations team in Denmark. Andreas is from Jutland but made his way to Copenhagen four years ago to study financial management. That move opened up new opportunities, eventually leading him to an internship in real estate, where he developed his sales skills while learning the importance of building genuine relationships, a focus he keeps front and center at CVX Ventures. Andreas’s experience in sales and client relations means he’s great at connecting with people. He brings a thoughtful approach to his work, combining strategic thinking with an ability to truly listen, which helps him build meaningful partnerships. This mix makes him an essential part of our team. Outside of work, Andreas takes full advantage of Copenhagen life. He’s into fitness, loves discovering new corners of the city, and values time with friends, whether they are the ones he’s made since moving here or his friends from back home. He’s always ready for something new, such as a workout, an adventure, or just a good conversation. We’re happy to have Andreas on the team. His energy, insight, and dedication have a big impact on our work and team spirit.
