We are happy to see our good friends at NitroVolt featured in today’s Børsen. They just raised 26 million DKK, including support from Bill Gates' Breakthrough Energy Fellows, to develop sustainable "green ammonia" technology! Their innovation drastically reduces CO2 emissions by enabling eco-friendly fertilizer production directly on farms – paving the way for greener agriculture. 🧑🌾🌾 We've had the pleasure of supporting NitroVolt from early lab-stage idea through our funding, mentorship, and DTU Earthbound accelerator programs. We took part in #RiseEurope, the European network of startup ecosystem builders, when stakeholders from across Europe met to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Europe’s start-up ecosystem! Some of the key takeaways were: 🎓 The need for stronger entrepreneurship education in European higher education. 🪢 The importance of more cohesive ties between start-ups, corporates, investors, and other key players in the ecosystem. 🦸 The need for broader investment horizons to support the growth of European tech champions. Rise Europe is committed to driving this change by incentivizing innovation, fostering connections, and building strong networks to create a more vibrant and competitive European tech landscape. Next Generation Digital Action and Digital Tech Summit last week is a wrap! 🏁 To each and every one of you who stopped by our booths, talked to our startups, and listened to the pitches from both the young academics and entrepreneurs from this year’s Next Generation Digital Action cohort - Thank you! 👏 Together, we bridged the gap between continents. We showcased fantastic innovative ideas and solutions to the world’s biggest challenges - all from young talents from all over the world. Digital Tech Summit Day 2! 🚀 The final day of Denmark’s largest deep tech event is live - and today is probably best summed up with the wonderful discipline of pitching. 🚀 Last Monday, we hosted more than 130 young academics and entrepreneurs at the Next Generation Digital Action Tech Bazar. A tour-de-force of solutions and creative ideas from different cultures and different disciplines, where solutions are not necessarily limited to a single country but on a global scale, can make an even bigger impact on our common society. 🔋➡️✈️ From turning your EV into a home battery to combat price surges and peak hours with non-renewable energy sources to software that’s able to combat corruption and create more transparency on public tenders and even drones that can collect waste in streams and monitor water quality in real-time making sure that bigger rivers and lakes are not as likely to be polluted. Last Monday, we looked into the future. Incorporating your startup? There's a bit more to it than business plans. For instance: Network. Sharing of knowledge with peers. Expert insights. And a whole lot of legal! 📖🖋️ That was what we helped entrepreneurial researchers at DTU get one step ahead of the game by focusing on the overall topic of legal essentials when creating a spinout. And we invited some of the best people to cover it! ✅ We had Anders Kjær from PSV for an insightful presentation on legal considerations when making agreements with investors - based on the PSV checklist. ✅ LASSEN RICARD made sure that our attendees got a firm grip on legal considerations when incorporating, including shareholder agreements and much more ✅ And finally, Tomas Wikborg took us through how DTU as a whole works with the transfer of tech, including IP deals and licensing. In our youth-led initiative, Next Generation [ ] Action, we are doing that by asking: “How do we enable the younger generation’s ideas and perspectives and leverage them into actions that can societal transformation using digital technologies?” That’s one big tough nut to crack, right?
