Empowering Innovation and Entrepreneurship. DTU X-Tech is the flagship incubator-course at DTU Entrepreneurship, where companies collaborate with driven student teams to explore new business opportunities through cutting-edge technologies, inventions, patents, or specific problems. Over a dynamic 13-week program, we pair the case with a dedicated team of carefully selected 4-5 master's students and a business mentors. Teams are equipped with prototyping facilities, a project budget, and access to expert specialists in areas all from product development, business strategy, prototyping, finance, market approach, and IP rights. The program includes a series of inspiring lectures by renowned Danish entrepreneurs and encourages teams to engage with key stakeholders across various markets. Teams work to validate their ideas through intense and dedicated support from experienced faculty. The semester culminates in the DTU X-Tech Finals, featuring a Tech Expo, Pitch Competition (lion's Den), and the DTU X-Tech Awards, where top teams compete for cash prizes. This includes a 100,000 DKK first prize, 50,000 DKK second prize, and an opportunity to continue their startup journey through accelerator programmes, specialized courses, and/or mentorship. Teams ready to take the next step can advance to our DTU X-Tech+ programme, where they receive a board of advisors and further support to launch their venture. By the end of the program, teams will have developed prototypes, market-validated business models, and be poised to spin out into fully-fledged startups. We run the program twice a year in both Spring and Fall semesters. Learn more about how DTU X-Tech fosters entrepreneurship on our website.

Have you or your workplace ever experienced a #cyberattack? That’s what our DTU X-Tech team, ICAT - Intelligent Cyber Analytics is hoping to help you avoid. 🎯Our mission is to give our customers real time feedback on the domains they interact with (it could be mails or websites) by using passive DNS. We aim for a high degree of domain security by giving the user more nuanced feedback with detailed scores and reasons. Furthermore, we would like to expand this idea to monitor for any impersonations of our customers. Who are we? The broadly skilled group is composed of students from both DTU and CBS, with each of our specialties ranging between cyber security, AI, computer modelling, and Business Analytics. From left to right: Sanjay A, Oscar Mandrupsen, Magnus Frederiksen, Natalie Schlachter and Gianni Canavero. Our achievements so far... 🤖 In a trial-and-error method, we have managed to develop multiple different AI prototype models, of which we have picked one which will become the foundation of our product. This has been accomplished with helpful collaboration from DeiC. What’s our plan until til Finals? 🤔 We have a lot of different ideas that we would like to build on top of our model. We are currently planning to get in contact with companies and institutions, where we can have a good talk of how these ideas could be implemented to give the best possible secure experience. So...How can you help? 👀 If your company or institute (small or large) are interested in domain security tools. We would love to present our upcoming prototype and share ideas of what could assist in combatting phishing. As threats evolve, so should your defenses—and that’s exactly what ICAT is here to help with.

🌟 From Winning X-Tech to Transforming Classrooms 🌱 Andreas Væring a former X-Tech winner, is now driving impact as the founder of tiny Farms. But here’s the twist—his first X-Tech Prize wasn’t for Tiny but for AQFeed, both ventures reflect his passion for sustainable innovation. (Check out the picture of @Mia Wagner handing the X-Tech Prize to Andreas and AQFeed in the comments) At tiny (formerly Tiny Farms), Andreas leads the development of Tiny Farm, an interactive tabletop garden designed for classrooms. This innovative tool allows students to engage with plant growth, explore ecosystems, and understand sustainability through hands-on learning. The mission is clear: inspire the next generation of climate innovators by making real-world environmental challenges tangible and accessible. Thanks so much Andreas Væring we really enjoy following tinys success and see you at X-Tech finals.
