With private equity at historically high levels (ca. $6tn) and distributions at historically low levels (ca. 6% of AUM), it is no wonder that everybody – private equity investors, fund managers and advisors – is looking into the secondary market, which is expected to reach an all-time high in 2024 with further growth in the coming years.   We have recently discussed the topic with investors in Copenhagen, Luxembourg and Hamburg and look forward to discussing it in Helsinki next month!

Jera Capital announces new employees, new license and new office! Jera Capital is excited to share several key developments that highlight the company’s growth and successes in the private equity secondary market. We are proud to welcome two new members to our investment team, celebrate the granting of the Danish AIFM (FAIF) license, and announce our move to a new, larger office space in the heart of Copenhagen. New Appointments Jera Capital welcomes Frederik Juhl Thomsen as Senior Associate and Lucas Holmström as Analyst to our investment team. Frederik brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles in M&A and asset management, where he demonstrated exceptional analytical and strategic skills. His expertise will be invaluable as Jera Capital continues to expand its investment portfolio and deliver superior results to our clients. Lucas Holmström, a talented analyst, joins us to strengthen our analytical capabilities. Lucas’s background in financial modelling and data analysis will support Jera Capital's mission to drive informed investment decisions. The investment and portfolio management team at Jera Capital has now been ramped up to six investment professionals to match the growing capital base and transaction volume. License to Grow In another significant milestone for the company, the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority has authorized Jera Capital to receive the Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) license which allows us to manage our own alternative investment funds in accordance with the highest regulatory standards. This license marks a pivotal step in streamlining our service offerings and provides Jera Capital with the flexibility to offer our clients expanded investment opportunities. Operating with the AIFM license also implies a reinforcement of our back office and a Compliance and a Risk Officer will be joining the company in the next few weeks to support the daily operations. Office Expansion To accommodate our growing team and responsibilities, Jera Capital has moved to larger premises at Store Strandstræde 20, 1. Copenhagen. This new location reflects our ambition and commitment to fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. The new office will support Jera Capital’s continued growth over the coming years and we look forward to meeting our clients, friends and stakeholders in the new surroundings.
