We need to grow the future of aquaculture, it is clear, but we need a 1:3 conversion scheme to accelerate the shift to sustainable technology. This change would enhance fish welfare, protect nature, and restore our fjords. The technology and industry are ready, it’s time for policymakers to establish the framework that will drive this transformation. Hosting The Times for an in-depth feature on Watermoon and our journey was a pleasure. I am immensely proud of the Eide team and grateful to build like my grandfather and father. A new, sustainable chapter in aquaculture begins now. “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.”

'Stories from Cold War Hotspots' exhibition opened today at the Norsk Luftfartsmuseum/Norwegian Aviation Museum in Bodø. The exhibition is the museum's highlight contribution to 'Bodø2024-European Capital of Culture.' You can stroll around the exhibition and listen to and watch interviews with young and old Europeans from Eastern and Western Europe who talk about the fear of nuclear war, the hope and joy when the Iron Curtain disappeared and the anxiety about the future. In the middle stands the museum's nuclear rocket ‘Honest John’ as a physical reminder of what we have actually avoided. Once again- this time the European Design Awards. Strong collaboration between Gagarín and Kvorning Design 🏆
We are thrilled to share that our digital infographic animation, created for the Heavy Water Cellar in Rjukan, Norway, has been honoured with a prestigious bronze award in the “digital infographic” category at the European Design Awards 2024. In collaboration with Kvorning Design, we created an interactive exhibition where the daring sabotage mission took place, leading to the destruction of the heavy water cells at Vemork and preventing the Germans from developing a potential atomic bomb. We developed an innovative way to demonstrate how heavy water was produced in the 1940s using an electrolyzer. As visitors tour the original basement, they encounter multimedia installations that exemplify the dilemmas the saboteurs encountered as soldiers in the war. We highlighted the original museum artefacts by encasing them in holographic displays to bring together the digital with the historic in a way that adds layers of information to the object while still protecting it. The heroic tale of Telemark's resistance fighters has captivated audiences globally and featured in various media formats, including TV series, documentaries, podcasts, articles, books, and films. #edawards24 #gagarin #kvorningdesign #rjukan #norway #heavywater #sabotage #exhibiton #interactive #vemork
