Since breaking ground at our site in Asnaes, Denmark in October last year, we have been busy. With the aim to already begin production of a new CCV line in late 2025, we are making good progress on expanding the factory and getting it ready to increase medium-voltage capacity and capabilities. The past several months have focused on civil works in order to lay the foundations for construction. In these photos, you can see the foundations of the future extrusion hall and tower being laid. “I am happy with the progress we are making,” says Peter van Hoorn, Director, Head of Machinery and Investments, “things are on track and we are hitting our different milestones while keeping safety as a top priority. I look forward to begin installing the steel structure in the coming weeks.” The development of the factory involves the expansion of the production facilities, including a new factory hall and new test facilities. NKT expects to hire approximately 100 new employees in connection with the expansion. The expansion of the factory is expected to be completed in 2026.

  • India is experiencing tremendous infrastructure growth, with rapid development of solar and wind parks, data centers, airports, and metro systems. The country has an impressive and comprehensive plan worth approximately 110 billion US dollars to enhance its power infrastructure and meet the projected demand of 458 GW by 2032. This week, our Accessories division successfully hosted an event in conjunction with the Elecrama 2025 Exhibition in Greater Noida, India. The event highlighted NKT's expanding activities and reinforced our commitment to the Indian market. “With the green transition and increasing electrification of society, we are witnessing substantial interest in and demand for our cable solutions, accessories, and services. We have been present in India for over a decade and established our local entity five years ago. Recently, we expanded further by opening a new office in Chennai. We have developed valuable collaborations in India and see great potential for mutually beneficial projects and further advancements,” said Denis Schuler, EVP and Head of Accessories at NKT. "India is a strategic market for NKT, where we bring high-quality products across all voltage classes. As a power cable company, we understand the critical importance of safe and reliable systems. In India, we are expanding our footprint through significant global investments in new testing capacities and product capabilities to meet industry demands. We greatly value the high-quality Indian supplier base and are increasing our localized content as part of our commitment to the Indian market,” said Aman Sapra, VP and Head of Sales Accessories at NKT. #WeConnect #CableAccessories #weconnectagreenerworld

  • As we progress with the construction of the world’s largest factory for manufacturing high-voltage submarine #powercables, we invite you to revisit the timelapse of the new extrusion tower rising 200 meters above ground. This tower is a key component of the ongoing expansion of the Swedish high-voltage cable factory in Karlskrona. Its height is essential for the cooling of cable insulation, as the cables must hang vertically to ensure optimal cooling during production. It reached its full height in only 90 days after intensive and dedicated work by all parties involved. https://lnkd.in/gshT4Cp #offshore #powergrid #construction

  • Today, NKT launches its annual report for 2024, and it is fair to say that it has been a busy year. “2024 was a pivotal and eventful year for NKT. We continued to deliver on customer commitments, advanced major expansions, launched new investments, and maintained a strong focus on sustainability. These efforts were achieved alongside delivering robust financial performance and further updating our financial ambitions for 2028. With the acquisition of SolidAl and the divestment of NKT Photonics, we took the final steps to transform NKT into a pure-play power cable solutions provider,” says Claes Westerlind, President and CEO at NKT. NKT achieved 26% organic revenue growth and the highest operational EBITDA in company history of EUR 344m. “We continued the positive financial development with significant revenue growth and even higher earnings growth. With a strong balance sheet and a significant high-voltage order backlog, we are well-positioned to benefit from the positive market outlook,” says Line Andrea Fandrup, CFO at NKT.
