This support is a meaningful step forward for us as we continue developing sustainable innovations. Last month, on Thursday the 12th, Renwave had an exciting and eventful day! In the morning, we had the pleasure of being interviewed by the amazing DTU journalist Linnea Lundberg about our company’s journey so far (stay tuned for the article!💡). Later in the afternoon, we were honored to be invited by Associate Professors Argyro (Iro) Nikiforou and Francesco Rosati to pitch our idea. There, we had the opportunity to deliver a 40-minute guest lecture for the "Technology Entrepreneurship" course, where we shared insights on team building, overcoming challenges, and our innovation process. The class and teaching assistants asked some great, thought-provoking questions! A huge thank you to everyone who made this day possible. We truly appreciate all the support—we feel the love, and it’s mutual! 💚🌊

In July, Renwave secured 2nd place in the prestigious Green Challenge, hosted annually by DTU - Technical University of Denmark and DTU Skylab ! The Green Challenge is a fantastic educational initiative where selected students showcase innovative, sustainability-focused projects developed in DTU courses. 💚 We had the incredible opportunity to pitch our idea throughout the day, and were truly blown away by the interest and support we received! From fellow participants, the judges, and even a DTU journalist, who found our project so compelling that we were invited to share more through DTU's official channels. After several "Not yet!" responses to every "Do you have a Linkedin page for our company?" questions; the team has finally decided it was due time to make one! :) This post therefore, serves both as opening of the Renwave's page and as its very first big achievement. Renwave started off as an idea amongst students and friends in a course of "Technology Entrepreneurship" at DTU - Technical University of Denmark held by the bright Associate Professor Argyro (Iro) Nikiforou; in which the teams were asked to find a way to innovate, create a business model and implement a proposed technology in the real world. The idea, in a nutshell, is that of revolutionizing green self-sufficient antifouling coatings for ship hulls. The project and the idea snowballed very quickly, causing many to show their support and interest. After a series of calls, meetings, and right opportunities and people at the right time, the very first achievement for the Renwave team came fairly quickly. Indeed, facilitated by the extremely great startup mentor Jonas Eliasson from DTU Skylab, Renwave had the opportunity to partecipate in the Impact Business Modeling System™. A 6 weeks program in which Richard Georg Engström provided all the tools needed to investigate our company's true sustainable potential in a quantifiable way. So once again, a big thanks to the Richard Georg Engström for making this possible and to NEEW Ventures for funding our trips and first very major pitch in Berlin, amongst super bright minds and incredible people! Can't wait to share more about our recent achievements, vision and innovative solutions for a sustainable maritime future!!🚢🌱
