🚍 👩🦯 Trapeze DACH and Schweizerischer Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverband SBV are excited to receive the order from Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) for the INTROS Mobility Assistance System 🎉 💛   It is a significant step towards improving accessibility in public transport in #Berlin, Germany: Following a Europe-wide tender, Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) has commissioned Trapeze DACH to supply the INTROS Mobility Assistance System for acoustic passenger information in buses and trams. 👩🦯🚍🚊   INTROS offers blind, visually impaired and mobility-impaired passengers valuable support and guidance in using public transport independently. We worked extensively with User Groups to gain real insights into the needs, preferences, and pain points of passengers. By involving them early on, we learned how different user segments navigate travel, ensuring the app meets a wide range of expectations. As such, the service lets users tailor their travel experience, prioritising what matters most—whether that’s the quickest route, the fewest transfers, step-free access, or the most eco-friendly path. 🌱♿ Created in partnership with transport operators, Transport Scotland and Traveline Scotland, we've delivered a collaborative and user-friendly tool that offers: ✅ Real-time travel info for all public transport modes ✅ Detailed ticketing options and costs for your full journey ✅ Tailored search results for quickest routes, fewest changes, step-free access, or the greenest routes. Funded by the The Scottish Government and built with public feedback, this service supports Scotland’s commitment to more sustainable travel options. 🌱 Whether you're looking for travel times, costs or ticket types, next departures, travel updates, or the most eco-friendly route, the new website and app have you covered. This launch is part of the 2024-25 Programme for Government and aligns with the National Transport Strategy to reduce car use and promote greener public transport.
