We are proud to add yet another vessel to our fleet: MV Ultra Confidence 🚢   Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming the latest addition to our fleet, the 63,710 DWT Ultra Confidence. Delivered from the Minaminippon Ship Building yard in Japan, the vessel was celebrated in a traditional naming ceremony 🎉   And if you look closely at the images, you might spot a hint of something exciting to come. We won’t say more than that. Stay tuned! 👀

🐍 Happy Chinese New Year! 🎊 As we welcome the Year of the Snake, we wish our colleagues, partners and friends a joyful and prosperous year ahead. 

What a weekend it has been! 🚢⚓ 600 guests made their way to Nordhavn Terminal in Copenhagen for a first-hand look at MV Ultra Dedication. We have wrapped up our Family Days – and with great success! It was a fantastic opportunity for our employees to share more about their work with their families. The terminal had something for all ages – the youngest guests proudly wore sailor hats and received diplomas for going on board the giant vessel, while everyone had the chance to explore our exhibition, discovering more about the vessel, Ultrabulk’s history, and old navigation tools. All of this was enjoyed alongside tasty food, crêpes and great coffee.☕ A warm thank you to Copenhagen Malmö Port, Hempel A/S, Danish Shipping, and M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark for contributing to the event! 🎉

Every great event begins with careful preparation and a dedicated team working hard to create the best possible experience ⚓🎉 This weekend, we are hosting our Family Days, giving employees, business partners and their families a unique opportunity to step on board MV Ultra Dedication to get a closer look at a dry bulk carrier. But that is not the only thing in store! Right now, we are setting up an entire terminal of fun activities for the whole family – from drawing stations, games, and knot tying to an exciting Ultrabulk historical exhibition. We have been waiting for this opportunity, and finally it was our turn! 🚢 Having posted about many of our colleagues’ vessel visits over the years, the Communications team finally got the chance to go on board. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of visiting our 63,000 DWT Supramax vessel, MV Ultra Dedication. Accompanied by our Head of Continent/Mediterranean Operations and one of our experienced Operations Executives – both no strangers to life at sea – we could fire away with all our questions about how the vessel operates and what life on board is like. Questions like “How much fuel does a vessel of this scale need?”, “Why is the dining room called the messroom?” and “How does ballasting work?” were just some of the many things we talked about during the visit. We all returned with a bit more understanding of life and work on board – and a handful of fresh images to share! 📸

The year is coming to an end, and 2025 is steadily approaching. It has been yet another eventful year in Ultrabulk – and looking back, a clear trend stands out in the posts you’ve liked the most: Our vessel deliveries 🚢 In 2024, we proudly welcomed three remarkable additions to our long-term fleet: the Ultra Lanin, the ZY Juhe, and the Ultra Yorkshire. Each vessel delivery is a significant event for us, but the Ultra Yorkshire was particularly special. Not only did it represent our strong relationship with Drax Group, but it also marked a milestone – our 100th newbuilding! And in the years to come we already have 19 new vessels scheduled for delivery. We extend our thanks to our clients, partners, and every member of the Ultrabulk family for your support, collaboration, and efforts. As we close out 2024, we look forward to navigating new opportunities together in 2025.
