WAsP Software is the industry-standard for wind resource assessment and wind farm planning. WAsP Software is used for sites located in all kinds of terrain all over the world, and includes models and tools for every step in the process from wind data analysis to site assessment and calculation of the energy yield for a wind farm. With a more than 35-year proven track record, WAsP Software is recognized and accepted worldwide by banks and authorities. WAsP Software is developed by DTU, Technical University of Denmark. The WAsP Suite installer includes WAsP, WAsP Engineering (WEng), Windfarm Assessment Tool (WAT), WAsP CFD Result Viewer, WAsP Map Editor and WAsP Climate Analyst. #PyWAsP is a Python-based API for running #WAsP and WEng models, allowing users to easily integrate WAsP's powerful wind resource prediction capabilities into their own Python-based applications and projects. Typical WAsP Software applications: * Calculation of energy yield for wind turbines and wind farms * Calculation of wind farm wake losses and wind farm efficiency * Calculation of wind conditions for IEC site assessment, e.g. mean wind, turbulence, wind shear, extreme wind and flow inclination * Siting of wind turbines and wind farms * Wind resource and turbulence mapping Further software from DTU Wind and Energy Systems: * HAWC2 for calculating loads and response of wind turbines in time domain * HAWCStab2 for aero-servo-elastic design and tuning of controllers * BECAS for use in the structural design and analysis of wind turbine blades

𝗤𝗚𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝗴-𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗔𝘀𝗣 𝗠𝗮𝗽 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 Dear WAsP users, Are you aware of the QGIS plug-in available for WAsP map handling? QGIS, the powerful, open-source GIS software, will enhance your map handling capabilities and streamline workflows with its extensive features and our custom plugin for WAsP. This is part of our transition from the well-known WAsP Map Editor to alternative approaches. The WAsP Map Editor will remain in the suite but without updates. Learn about the benefits of this shift and how it can enhance your mapping processes here: https://lnkd.in/dgfRxwGB And remember, you can get in-person instructions on using QGIS for digitizing, importing, editing, and converting WAsP maps by participating in the WAsP Week 2024, which takes place at DTU Risø Campus from November 11-15, 2024.
