Dr. Monica Gonzales-Deliganis, OD

Monica Gonzales-Deliganis, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston’s College of Optometry in 1997 and received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. Dr. Gonzales-Deliganis is fluent in Spanish and has spent over twenty years working in the Northwest Houston area.

As a child, Dr. Gonzales-Deliganis recalls putting on her father’s glasses which made everything blurry and distorted. She realized that only when he wore his glasses could he see as well as she could without glasses. That experience made a huge impression on her, and she decided she wanted to help people see more clearly. Dr. Gonzales-Deliganis says one of the best decisions she ever made was selecting optometry as her career.

Dr. Gonzales-Deliganis is passionate about primary care optometry and provides quality care to her patients and their families by conducting thorough comprehensive eye exams. She has extensive experience in contact lens fitting including …hard-to-fit cases for astigmatism, presbyopia, and rigid gas-permeable contact lenses.

Dr. Gonzales-Deliganis especially enjoys the relationships and bonds she has developed with her patients over many years. Patients who were once accompanied as children by their parents are, many years later, coming to their appointments on their own. Dr. Gonzales-Deliganis has been married to her husband for over twenty-five years, and they are raising two boys and one very spoiled dog. When not in the office, she enjoys reading, crafting, and creating mixed-media art.
