    PORTFOLIO CHECK-UP
    • Has been investing in equity funds for 7-8 years. Also invests in stocks directly.
    • Regular investing and aggressive choices have helped build a sizeable corpus.
    • Early retirement at 50 is possible with minor increase in SIPs.
    • Portfolio is equityheavy. Need to invest in fixed-income options for stability.
    • Open a Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana account to save for daughter’s education. It’s rate of interest is higher than the PPF and corpus is tax-free.
    • Portfolio has a midcap and small-cap skew. Be ready for volatility.
    • Keep emergency corpus in an arbitrage fund or debt scheme to retain liquidity and avoid annual tax outgo on interest income.

    • Open NPS account to build retirement corpus and save tax.
    • In NPS, opt for a balanced allocation to equity and debt funds.
    • Buy life insurance worth at least Rs.2 crore to safeguard goals.
    • Review investments and rebalance portfolio at least once in a year.
    • Reduce risk when goal is near so that you don’t miss the target.
