Last week our team attended the Software Defined Space Conference, where we became the first student organization to sign the European Space Agency - ESA Zero Debris Charter! Jānis Dalbiņš moderated a panel about educational activities in space and cyber domain together with Kristiina Omri from CybExer Technologies, Antti Tamm Tartu Observatory and Adrian Venables from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology Our team had an incredible time: from engaging in insightful debates and panel discussions to networking with top players in the space industry, it was an event to remember. 🚀 We’re thrilled to be part of a community that’s shaping the future of space through software development and cyber security

🌌 Traveling Together Toward the New Frontier On October 29, 2024, the Italian Trade Agency - Stockholm, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Tallinn, organized an insightful side event of the Software Defined Space Conference, featuring the inauguration of the exhibition “The Italian Spaceway.” 📍 Location: TalTech University - Mektory Building, Raja 15, Innovation Hub Room 🕝Time: 15:30 - 17:30 Agenda Highlights: 🤝Institutional and Academic Cooperation between Italy and Estonia Representatives from Agenzia Spaziale Italiana and EIS discussed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and potential collaborations, particularly in the field of nano-satellites. 🚀 Excellences in Aerospace Propelling Our Countries Toward the Future Industry leaders from AVIO, Spaceit, and the Estonian Student Satellite Foundation shared their insights and innovations, showcasing advancements in aerospace. 🌍 Roundtable - Challenges for Aerospace Clusters and SMEs in Italy and Estonia Experts from the Piedmont Aerospace Cluster, Lazio Innova, and Golbriak Space OÜ engaged in a discussion about the challenges and opportunities facing aerospace clusters and SMEs in both countries. 🌌Estonia Becomes 45th Artemis Signatory Ahead of IAC24🚀🌟 Estonia 🇪🇪 has officially become the 45th nation to sign the Artemis Accords, committing to safe, transparent, and responsible space exploration. The ceremony took place ahead of IAC2024, with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Administrator Bill Nelson, Minister Erkki Keldo at Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Science, Technology and Space Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, Rahima Kandahari, and Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne President Lisa Campbell as key participants.
