We combine this with functional checks: just like those done during production testing: to ensure everything works perfectly. We need to build sustainable device lifecycles. People often ask: “How is it great if we replace devices more often?” Our goal is to make devices last longer. Every second device needs proper maintenance 2–3 years after use to extend its life. Why does this matter? Each year, over 5 billion smartphones are thrown into landfills! 😱 Refurbishing an iPhone produces just 2.27 kg of CO2. Making a new one? A staggering 63.89 kg. That’s more than 25x the impact! That's why we help brands collect old devices, refurbish them, and resell them. What do you think: is it better for the environment if we use our devices for a shorter or longer time? 🤔 👇 Here are 2 fundamental benefits of shorter usage cycles. 1️⃣ Refurbishment extends product lifetime value by keeping the same products in circulation for longer. ⚒️🔄 Thanks to refurbishment and planned renewal periods, product quality is maintained. The key is getting products back from consumers in a good enough condition to maximise their value on the secondary market. 2️⃣ Repeating product usage cycles leads to #sustainability. ♻️  Using devices beyond the recommended usage cycle doesn’t allow preplanning of refurbishment and resale by merchants as they have no idea whether or when the product will be returned.
