𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 STACC’s CEO Kalev Koppel and Development Manager Jane Luht were diving into the hottest energy topics today at the Energy Annual Conference 2024 by Äripäev in Tallinn. The event brought together industry innovators, thought leaders, and policymakers to discuss the future and sustainability of the energy sector. 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹: ⚡ A single energy source cannot meet the growing and diversifying needs of consumers, making a combination of different energy sources essential. ⚡ Clear long-term vision and planning are expected from the government for electricity consumption and production in the coming decades, including equal treatment of technologies and reducing bureaucracy. ⚡ Finding balance between supply security, affordability, and environmental sustainability – the so-called energy trilemma – is crucial for consumers, businesses, and the government alike. ⚡ Optimizing total energy costs requires the development of short- and long-term production and storage solutions, as well as consumer flexibility to manage the variability of renewable energy. STACC helps identify flexibility opportunities in production, consumption, and storage in a commercially viable way. If you’re looking for a data-driven partner to develop innovative energy solutions, feel free to reach out!

A recent report by the Foresight Centre at the Parliament of Estonia shows that every euro invested in green technology can bring higher returns, helping companies stay competitive in a market that increasingly values sustainable practices. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆: The adoption of green technologies can increase a company’s competitiveness – only if implemented optimally. STACC’s data scientist Arko Kesküla explains: “Green technologies bring true value to companies only when they’re optimally scaled and smartly managed. Whether it’s solar panels, battery systems, or EV charging, effective energy management is key to maximizing both economic and environmental returns. At STACC, we help companies identify the best strategies to optimize their energy costs and improve overall efficiency.” 🔗 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲: https://lnkd.in/gkPFJR7F #SustainableEnergy #EnergyEfficiency #GreenTechnology #PredictiveAnalytics #AIforEfficiency

🌱 Predicting Soil Temperatures with Meteorological Data How can we know what’s happening beneath the soil without touching it? This question is vital for farming and agronomy. Our data scientist, Lotta-Lorette, searched for the best answer in collaboration with the Estonian precision farming company eAgronom. Her research focused on predicting soil temperature 5 cm below ground using environmental data. Accurate soil temperatures help determine the best times for sowing and ploughing and assess plant growth conditions. Despite the limits of satellite data and sensor deployment, the linear regression models developed show that simplicity can be powerful. By leveraging air-soil temperature relationships and the weighted least squares method, these models offer reliable soil temperature estimates crucial for agronomy. 🌾 Read the full article here:

🗓️12. juunil toimub Riigikogus Arenguseire energiakonverents "Kuidas muutub tarbijate roll elektrisüsteemis". Kõrged elektrihinnad käivitasid Eestis päikeseenergia buumi, kümnekordistades päikesepaneelidega majapidamiste arvu. Nüüd on üle kogu riigi 10 000 väiketootjat. Tule kuulama!
