Because the industry is full of significant risks, which means we must adhere to global standards to protect ourselves and those around us. That's why the *NCTU PetroleumTech* team is offering you a lecture on occupational health and safety. The lecture will be delivered by Engineer Khouloud Khaled, an Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Engineer with a Masters Degree Researcher and a certified trainer from Ain Shams University. She will give us an engaging lecture on occupational health and safety. The comprehensive introductory lecture for the students of the Petroleum Technology Department at New Cairo University for Technology was successfully held, which was dedicated to new students. Dr. Mohamed Gharib, Head of the Department, gave a comprehensive explanation about the nature of study in the department and the fields it covers. Dr. Mohamed Gharib introduced the new students to the importance of studying petroleum technology and its essential role in meeting the world's energy needs. He also highlighted the promising opportunities provided by this specialization in the labor market, as graduates can join oil and gas companies, work in the fields of project management, develop modern technologies for extracting and processing oil, and contribute to improving the efficiency of energy production. During the lecture, the study system in the department was discussed in detail, which is based on a combination of theoretical and practical aspects, allowing students the opportunity to apply what they learn directly. In addition, the NCTU PETROLEUM TECH team participated in the lecture, where they gave an introductory presentation about the team and their role in supporting new students and guiding them during their academic career. They also indicated that the team works on organizing activities and workshops aimed at enhancing the technical and administrative skills of students, which helps them excel in the field of petroleum and energy. The attendance of new students was excellent, as they shared their questions and inquiries about their fields of study and future opportunities.
