  • 🚨🌎OPPORTUNITY ALERT: You have read that right! The U.S. Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) is funding the Student Leaders Program (SLP) for 20-24 year old college students who are residents of the Middle East and exhibit high English-language proficiency. The Student Leaders Program (SLP) is a yearlong three-part program: pre-summer, summer, and post-summer with the most intensive part taking place during the summer. The summer program is an intensive 4-week program, and is tentatively scheduled to take place from June 25 until July 25, 2025. The cornerstone of the program is the development of Community Engagement Plans (CEPs), where each student is required to identify an issue/opportunity related to climate change or environmental protection that they would like to address in their communities.   • ⏳Our 2025 season will be kicking off soon with lots of volunteering opportunities for current chapter members. We will make sure this new official season to be more clear for everyone in terms of knowing other chapter participants, goals and chapter plans. We will focus on more networking events and opportunities. We will be having more solid partnerships and capacity building programs for you and your friends to attend and build better understanding of the clean energy and climate sectors. Our members got to know the huge impact of marketing and data analysis on business models, and their applications in real life.   • 🚨Opportunity alert for our members and followers! 👨💻APPLY NOW: https://lnkd.in/deGuTQdA 📆DDL: DEC. 16th 2024 ⚡️DETAILS: The Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador Program is a six-month online program that catalyzes youth climate leadership by enabling participants to: connect with one another; learn from World Bank experts, GYCN, Y2Y and C4C Knowledge Partners; and take meaningful climate action both in their communities and globally. The program offers a mix of technical and hands-on sessions providing the young ambassadors with in-depth knowledge and understanding of climate change and the related challenges explored in the World Bank Group Climate Change Action Plan as well as guidance on how to creatively communicate their newfound knowledge for maximal impact. By the conclusion of the program, each participant will be expected to have attended a predefined number of learning sessions and implemented three concrete climate actions in their community. All those who meet these criteria will graduate and receive a certificate of completion.

  • In the latest leadership meeting at Student Energy CU, where board members, team leaders and even invited members have attended, key points were discussed for the sake of the chapter's progress and our members' satisfaction. Key highlights for you to get along with: - Members will be included much more in terms of the chapter's development. - More synergies among different teams will take place more often for smooth and fast chapter operations. - Weekly and monthly internal check-ins to handle tasks, monitor and evaluate. - Members capacity building is to be our main focus at Student Energy CU. - More lights will be shed on educational programs and pathways to help our students gain better understanding about the clean energy sector, climate change and complementary fields. - Practical and highly selective programs will be handled as our chapter members incentives for completing different tasks in the proposed programs.
