✨ The fifth edition of the Spanish Wine Educator course🍷led by ICEX and powered by The Wine Studio came to an end last Friday after a week filled with classes, visits and tastings. We spent 3 days at The Wine Studio (see our previous post) followed by a 2-day immersion in the vineyards and cellars of wineries in Gredos, Rueda and Ribera del Duero. Here you'll find several pictures of these last two days, with the beautiful backdrop of the fall landscape. DAY 4 🍇Visit to Las Pedreras in DOP Cebreros, Villanueva de Ávila (Sierra de Gredos), Ávila hosted by Bárbara Requejo Frutos 🍇Visit to Bodegas Félix Lorenzo Cachazo in DO Rueda, Pozaldez, Valladolid hosted by Angela Lorenzo & Sonia Velazquez DAY 5 🍇Visit to Tempos Vega Sicilia in DO Ribera del Duero, Valbuena de Duero, Valladolid hosted by Juan José Parra Forcén 🍇 Visit to Garmón Continental in DO Ribera del Duero, Olivares de Duero, Valladolid hosted by Alicia Merino de Diego The incredibly warm welcome on behalf of each winery made the visits even more enjoyable. At each stop, the winemakers and export directors shared with us their philosophy, their terroir, their approaches to winemaking and the legacy left to them by previous generations, all of which showcased both the diversity and excellence of Spanish wines.
