📢 EAG (Empresarios Agrupados - GHESA) proudly participated in the Hispano-Polish Nuclear Energy Day on December 3rd in #Warsaw, showcasing the collaboration between Spain and Poland in advancing nuclear energy. ⚡ The event highlighted Poland's ambitious plans to have its first nuclear power plant operational by 2036, the potential for Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), and the expertise of the Spanish nuclear industry. 🌍 With over 45 companies attending, it was a valuable opportunity to network, share experiences, and explore future alliances. We’re honored to represent Spain alongside esteemed companies, driving innovation and cooperation in nuclear energy!

⚡EAG participated in the development of the hybrid heat and power supply plant in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. This project shows our commitment to sustainable energy solutions by combining natural gas with the energy recovery of paper mill waste, forest residues and paper. ⚙️ 𝐍𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫: 30 MW. 🔄 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲: Combined cycle with a gas turbine (GT) and heat recovery steam generator (HSRG), along with a combustion boiler, operating under a non-regenerative Rankine cycle with controlled extractions for heat supply. 🛠️ 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Rolls Royce RB211 gas turbine, UMAG heat recovery boiler, and MAN steam turbine. 🔥 𝐅𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝: Natural gas, bark, sludge from wastewater treatment, fiber rejects, and plastics. 📝 At EAG, we provided #engineering, #consulting, and #design services, acting as the owner's engineer to ensure high-quality solutions. This year’s theme, “Chain Reaction,” highlights all that has been built up to this point, raising global awareness of the positive impact of nuclear energy. Since its foundation, EAG (Empresarios Agrupados - GHESA) has aimed to be a leader in the nuclear sector. This commitment is reflected in our involvement in flagship projects such as the Almaraz and Trillo nuclear power plants, ITER and the breakthrough in nuclear fusion, and support for operating nuclear power plants, which are fundamental pillars of a safe and emission-free electricity supply. We believe nuclear energy complements the growth of renewables by providing competitive, safe, and sustainable emission-free base-load power. As part of this, we are involved in projects for new-generation reactors, including advanced, small, and modular technologies, which offer both electricity and heat for industry and society. 🏥 Between 2015 and 2017, EAG (Empresarios Agrupados - GHESA) completed a comprehensive architecture and engineering project for the expansion of Al Farwaniya Hospital in Farwaniah, Kuwait. This multi-facility development, covering 430,516 m² with 1,400 parking spaces, complements the existing medical district of Al Farwaniya. The project developed by GHESA included the design for Sayed Hamid Behbehani and Sons (SHBC) to execute: 🏨 A new hospital with 945 beds (233,000 m²) 🦷 A dental clinic (23,356 m²) 🛠️ A service building (8,100 m²) 🚗 A parking facility with 1,400 spaces (41,135 m²) 🌳 In addition, we developed a master plan for the area’s urbanization, including roads, green spaces, utility networks (electricity, drainage, plumbing, fire protection), a medical gas center, and a diesel storage unit for uninterruptible power supply. ✨ The architectural design balances solidity with transparency, featuring upper-floor courtyards that let in natural light, creating a serene atmosphere for patients and visitors. 👷♂️ A project that underscores our commitment to excellence in engineering and design for the healthcare sector! #SomosEAG #WeAreEAG #Engineering #Energy #Infrastructure #Hospital #Kuwait #AlFarwaniya #Health #Healthcaresector #archictecture

⚛️ At EAG (Empresarios Agrupados - GHESA), we are proud to be part of #LITEC, a public-private cooperation project in collaboration with CIEMAT and Systemanalyse & Automatisierungsservice GmbH. This infrastructure will play a crucial role in the international IFMIF-DONES project by validating lithium purification systems and analyzing materials under neutron radiation, essential for the development of fusion reactors. 💡 LITEC consist on a closed lithium circuit driven by an electromagnetic pump that will provide to the researchers an ideal environment for the validation and optimization of various developing technologies for the Impurity Control System of IFMIF-DONES. This initiative positions Spain as a leader in fusion energy, fostering skilled employment and strengthening public-private cooperation in the sector. The project not only optimizes waste management but also contributes to the decarbonization of the industrial sector through 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and a Rankine cycle. 🔧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐄𝐀𝐆: - Feasibility study (pre-construction) - Operational assistance (post-construction) - Engineering, consultancy, and design under EPCM/project management 🌿 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬: The plant is equipped with a Steinmüller Babcock grate boiler, with a capacity of 113 t/h @ 56 bar (a) and 445 °C.
