Last Saturday we were delighted to welcome Jasmine Anouna, founder of The Bloom (an online community for social impact careers) as speaker for this month's exciting Tapa Talk - “Sustainability and Social Impact: An Interview with a Careers Expert”! Jasmine drew on her impressive experience and background during the interview to provide advice and insight to job-seekers looking to build a career in social impact. She emphasized the importance of true connection in an era of social media, giving an intimate account of how connection has changed her life, and outlined how The Bloom helps to connect social impact communities! During the break, we had our usual fun-filled quiz, followed by a new activity - “Cards for Courage” featuring an awesome card game designed by Jasmine with inspiring conversation prompts! Following the break, Jasmine delved into the topic of job seeking in an era of algorithms and provided useful advice for entrepreneurs. We rounded off the evening with some insightful questions from the audience followed by networking with drinks! We were also happy to introduce our brand new Swap Shop - a community exchange where people can donate used items and take home things others have left, fostering our principles of sustainability and sharing in communities! We also introduced a few new products to our Merch Table - including Jasmine’s “Cards for Courage” card game and SUAV laundry sheets - an eco-friendly laundry soap! Thanks so much to Jasmine for coming and speaking with us, as well as all the attendees for helping to make this a memorable, fun evening full of inspiring conversation! Also a big shoutout to our very own president and co-founder Ksenia Rodionova for her excellent job leading the interview!

We at ESAlogika are thrilled to support this incredible initiative! It's the perfect gift that combines education and fun, making it a truly meaningful experience. Plus, it comes with an extra perk: it’s reusable and can be re-gifted year after year. A thoughtful and sustainable choice we’re proud to celebrate! Also for sale at our very own TapaTalks.

🎉 Let's run it back! Our Daily Sustainability Calendar is Available Again! 🌍 After an incredible response last year and so much amazing feedback from everyone who bought or received one as a gift, we’re delighted to announce another run of the "One Day at a Time" Daily Sustainability Calendar. Why are we doing it again? Because as the world becomes more unpredictable, we believe the most powerful thing we can do is help people understand the collective challenges we face and the opportunities for change. As sustainability professionals and educators, we know that education is one of the strongest leverage points to inspire action and create meaningful impact, and based on the feedback we received, a daily dose of sustainability is an extremely effective way to educate people on our predicament, and move from confusion to understanding, acceptance and action! Our calendar is designed to: 🧠 Educate: Break down key sustainability topics in a way that’s easy to understand. 💡 Inspire: Provide insight and motivation to take meaningful action. 🌱 Empower: Help people make a difference, One Day at a Time. What’s inside? 365 days of insights, challenges, and tips that cover a wide range of sustainability topics—from climate change to biodiversity, circular economy to social justice and dealing with anxiety in the face of environmental breakdown. Join us for another trip around the sun ☀️ "Your page a day calendar is brilliant, fantastic... It has explained so much to me!" https://lnkd.in/eEWGyWFC

I am beyond grateful to the wonderful driven team of ESAlogika that we have working tirelessly behind the scenes to organise every one of these events with lots of thoughtful preparation, love and care - and open them to the public of Barcelona. In this particular event, I have learnt more about the options of proteins and "meat" alternatives there are, providing more and more options for consumers to pick and reduce their environmental impact. A huge THANK YOU to the speakers and panelists for sharing their knowledge, time and experience, as well as some delicious Heura Foods samples with all of us and our audience. We look forward to hosting Effective Altruism Barcelona again very soon!
Featuring amazing speakers, an alternative meat food tasting and an informative panel, yesterday’s event - “Powering the Future: The Science and Sustainability of Proteins” was as exciting as it gets! Our first guest speaker, Ricard Soler Roger with Effective Altruism Barcelona gave an overview of his career in activism, arts and community building before describing the mission of Effective Altruism, an organization which provides resources to underfunded, impactful charities so they can effectively carry out their work towards meaningful causes! Following Ricard, we were delighted to welcome Anne Reshetnyak, who provided an amazing presentation on the science of proteins. She delved into the what, why and when of both animal and non-animal proteins and provided a fascinating overview of their history. Anne explained how alternative proteins can help address some of the world’s most pressing environmental and societal challenges! After a break featuring a fun quiz and buffet, we sat down to an open panel featuring our speakers, along with none other than Marc Coloma (better known to his colleagues as “Genius”), the CEO and co-founder of Heura Foods! Panel speakers received several insightful questions on the health of alternative meat proteins and how Huelva aims to make a difference by providing sustainable choices to shoppers. Attendants were also lucky enough to sample some of Heura's delicious alternative meats and products! Thank you to all of our amazing speakers and attendees for making this such a wonderful afternoon full of fun and insightful conversation!
