In BeAble Capital SGEIC SA offices, the synergy between technology and lighting design not only provides healthy lighting but also raises the well-being of its workers. 💡 The lighting designers in charge of the project decided to use the Lutron control system to control the luminaires through the DALI standard. ☀ However, the main value to fulfilling the objectives of user wellness in this project resided in the optimization provided by KUMUX for the control and lighting characteristics. By automating the lighting settings throughout the day, KUMUX achieved the synchronization of artificial light with the natural rhythms of light. 💻 This project not only meets rigorous wellness and productivity standards, such as the WELL in circadian lighting but also adheres to the Lighting Research Center's criteria for workspaces, whose parameters require variations in lighting throughout the day. 🤩 At KUMUX, we believe in positive transformation through lighting innovation. Beable Office not only represents a space where technology meets standards but also an environment that prioritizes the quality of life of its workers. #WorkplaceWellness #HealthcareInnovation #LightingDesign #DynamicLighting

Automated Human Centric Lighting for Health and Well-being
Sobre nosotros
In Kumux, we believe in bringing natural light benefits to artificial light with the existing lighting technology. Our objective is to improve people’s health and well-being through light. Based on science, we have developed artificial intelligence that provides the existing lighting control system with the most suitable lighting settings data (correlated color temperature - CCT and brightness) to mimic the sunlight indoors, but also adapt light for the activities in each space. KUMUX automated lighting control throughout the day, all year, brings out the full potential of tunable white LEDs for users’ health and wellness. It helps balance people’s inner clock, improves their rest at night and boosts their energy levels during the day, reducing the risk of suffering from sleep and other health disorders.

✨ Explore the Dynamic Lighting Design Process behind the Fernández Molina Project. At Fernández Molina, lighting designer Ximena Rubio took on the intricate task of upgrading the existing lighting system for the users' biological needs while minimising disruptions. 🎯 The Vision The primary goal was to improve the environment's functionality while promoting user well-being. Adhering to the WELL Building Standard and Lighting Research Center recommendations was proposed by KUMUX to achieve this. 💡 Solution To meet the project goals, XAL luminaires were selected, taking advantage of their advanced features and adaptability. These luminaires were key to delivering a lighting system designed for well-being and performance: 1️⃣ Adjustable Spectrum - Adjustable colour temperature from 2700K (warm white) to 6500K (cool white). - Supports circadian alignment by transitioning lighting to meet users’ biological needs at different times of the day. 2️⃣ Low Glare (UGR < 16/19) Ensures visual comfort, reduces glare and minimises eye fatigue in a work environment. 3️⃣ High Color Rendering Index (CRI > 80) Delivers vibrant, natural colours that enhance visual clarity and create a pleasant ambience. 4️⃣ DALI Control - Provides precise, programmable control over light intensity and colour temperature. - Allows integration with smart systems for dynamic, adaptive lighting solutions. ✅ Compliance with WELL Building Standards A lighting design was made that ensured compliance with the WELL Building Standard by achieving the required mEDI of 250 lux. This design became the basis for KUMUX, which optimised dynamic lighting settings throughout the day to adapt to the users' biological needs. 💡 Transforming lighting design: from static simulations to dynamic perspectives 🏢 In today’s architectural landscape, lighting simulations are often based on static models, which offer a limited view of how light interacts with spaces. While these traditional simulations are essential to understanding basic lighting performance, they do not capture the full picture of how dynamic lighting can improve our environments and impact well-being. 💡 KUMUX goes beyond static simulations by integrating dynamic lighting capabilities, allowing designers to visualise how lighting conditions evolve throughout the day. This approach is crucial not only for aesthetics but also to support occupants’ circadian rhythms, promoting their well-being and productivity. 💻 The KUMUX Platform can be a complement to the simulation of a dynamic lighting design, providing insights into the circadian impact of dynamic lighting throughout the day and compliance with regulations, based on the static lighting design. KUMUX helps assess the circadian impact of dynamic lighting designs, ensuring spaces promote well-being throughout the day. This aligns with emerging research emphasising the importance of light in regulating sleep, mood, and overall well-being. We believe the future of lighting design lies in our ability to create responsive environments that adapt to human needs. With tools like KUMUX, we can bridge the gap between static simulations and the dynamic realities of modern lighting, improving both aesthetics and functionality. 🌱 Find out how KUMUX can help you create dynamic, well-being spaces! #LightingDesign #DynamicLighting #CircadianRhythm #KUMUXPlatform
