🌍 A fruitful month of collaboration and innovation! 🌍 Marco Bianchini, PhD, a researcher from LOMARTOV SL, recently completed a productive one-month visiting stay with us at the Université de Liège. This collaboration took place within the framework of the CHem PGM project, a groundbreaking initiative focused on advancing sustainable technologies for recovering Platinum Group Metals (PGMs). During his stay, Marco worked closely with our team, Senior Researcher Mohamed Aâtach more particularly, to evaluate the environmental performance of novel PGM recovery technologies using the Life Cycle Assessment (#LCA) methodology. This critical assessment helps ensure that these innovative recovery processes align with sustainability goals and deliver real environmental benefits. This visiting stay underscores the power of collaboration between research institutions and industry partners in driving impactful results. Joining SOLVE allows us to continue our commitment to advancing #sustainable #energy and #mobility solutions and reinforcing Europe’s position in the global #battery market. The shift to solid-state batteries (SSBs) is crucial for enhancing energy #density, #safety, and sustainability, which are key to achieving the EU’s climate goals and promoting #electromobility. 🎤 What exactly is your role in the project? 🎙 In #SOLVE, #LOMARTOV is responsible for ensuring that sustainability is a core component of SSB development. We lead the implementation of environmental impact strategies, applying eco-design principles and conducting comprehensive assessments of materials and processes using the Safe and Sustainable by Design framework.
